I am intrigued... but not sure we would need him? Same type of role as Howard. I wonder if he can still play any 3? Probably just a 4 now. Not quick enough to play 3. Anyhow, would you guys do vet min for him?

I think I would, just to get another big body with experience in there. And another recognizable face for the national media like STOMP mentioned in the Howard thread. I am not sure that he is the leader\mentor that Howard is.

The dude was bad when he was "good". I shudder to think about how bad he is now. :)

Oh hell no. He wouldn't bring any semblance of something worth value. His game is basically taking long, bad three pointers and isn't really the upstanding veteran the team already acquired in Howard.

No thanks.

Never was a fan of Walker when he was in his young prime. Irritating on-court personality too. Wouldn't want him now.

You want old vets that played the game the "right way" in their prime to be the old dudes that set examples. Guys who overly relied on their natural talent and never really improved their game (like Walker), are terrible mentors. What lesson do they have to teach? Don't do it like I did?
 
He hasn't been good since he was a Celtic the first time, before he started chucking 3's like crazy. Pass.

Yep, and when asked why he shoots so many 3-pointers, his response was the infamous, "Because there aren't any 4-pointers".

Unless we are getting nostalgic for the Jailblazer days, I see no reason to bring in Antoine Walker.

I love this comment from that article:

"Maybe he thought the checks were like three pointers, and that if he kept writing them, one would go through."

I didn't think I was alone is hatin' on Walker, but geesh, Portland fans seem near universal in their disdain.
 
I don't think it's that fascinating. For all of our homerism, most of us at least watch the games from time to time. Doesn't take an innate scouting genius to think Antoine is, shall we say, a "poor fit".
 
I've always wondered why people call his little dance move "the shimmy". He has always called it "the wiggle".
