Is there any Chance we can go for Cousins in the offseason? I know we dont have Cap space, but what if Cousins wants to leave Golden State and no team gives him an offer or not as much money as he expected because he isn't the same? He is really close with Dame, reports came out last year that the Blazers were interested in him but there was something with his Agent. We need a Center until Nurkic comes back, and Cousins for a one year rental would be absolutely amazing. Just a thought

Unless he is re injured in the playoffs he will be getting paid. Teams know he is rusty right now. And if he does get injured...do we want him? I can't see it happening.

He is not the Boogie of old, at least not yet and/or because of the Warriors' style.

I had this same thought.
If he isn’t offered a long term deal I could see it.
It would give Nurk ample time to heal and cousins and dame are tight.
Nurk and boogie have the same agent so that could work out really nicely

Because no one else has said it:

Too. Soon.

In a word ... NO. As others have mentioned, he's getting paid this summer one way or another. There will be at least one team out there with cap space that is going to whiff on some of the other big names in the pool and he will end up getting his.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of those teams is the Sacramento Kings.

They have Bagley and Giles, not sure if they want to mess with Boogie again, but you never know.
I see both of those guys more as 4's than 5's. I think Cousins is open to the idea of going back. The Kings wouldn't have to offer him a super max like they were going to have to before if they kept him so it could work out for all parties.

Isn't Boogie a free agent this summer? If so, we don't have the money to sign him.

I think giving Collins, ML ,Labisieere (sp), and Kanter is the way to steer this course. Cousins would be a reason to supplement the ticket price increase thread.

The whole Boogs - Warriors experiment certainly has been a disappointment, at least in the regular season. Has he been in the playoffs?

He is one of my fave purely offensive assaults though, but defensively he is a big no.
That said, I would be ecstatic if he were a blazer but it has a chance of zero point zero.

If we sign him to MLE for 1 year and then use 2020 cap space to give him a bigger contract?

Please, God, no.

I’d be a big fan of it, thinking about how Dame could get the best out of Boogie has me salivating

Imagine us in the playoffs next year with Nurkic/Boogie/Collins depth at the big man spot, we’d have an option for every situation possible. With CJ and Dame bombing from everywhere ontop of that I’d really like our chances if KD leaves GSW.

Honestly of the teams with big cap space I don’t think any of them would be particularly interested in Cousins, except the Lakers. But I think they’d probably gamble on being able to get someone better than him with their cap space and it would backfire on them

Dude isnt a douchebag. People need to pay more attention.
Yep. Way too many people label players from a few things they think or get from first impressions.
First impressions are usually lasting impressions.

DMC isnt so much a jerk as much as he’s kind of a modern day Rasheed Wallace, he gets caught up in those feelings quite a bit.

IMO you cannot compare Cousins to Sheed. Wallace was a pathetic excuse for a basketball player.
