From my observations, the biggest problem for most DBAs is inability to get laid.

Oh come on! I'm just in a slump right now.

Not a DBA but I do use SQL quite a bit, used MongoDB here and there. Maybe if I was full time having to manage the database Id have different issues, but honestly all the API’s ive used to query, append, whatever have worked “fine”.
