I've never been that big into guns or weapons in general (I've only owned two guns in my life), but I decided to pick this up with a CCP for personal protection and just some good ole fun at a range:

Anyone have a stash they'd like to share and does anyone have this particular model, and thoughts? It's a GLOCK m26 .9mm Gen 4. Compact but very powerful.

I don't really like the 26. It's too small for my taste. I own the Glock 19, which has a bigger frame than the one you bought, and I love it.

I held a number of them and I can see why it could be too small for some people, but I don't have a problem holding on to it and I think it gets easier once you get used to it. It can also take any .9mm cartridge which will lengthen the grip if you put in a 15, 17 or 33 mag (lol), it also takes the GLOCK 19 mag. Being compact makes it really easy to conceal and carry around which is a big plus for me.

I have Colt 1911 45 ACP Gold Cup model that I have had a very long time. A SW .38 Special
with some loads I worked up to near .357 velocity. Then a sweet little (very small) Beretta .22.
It fits about anywhere you need it to be.

Nice, got any pics?

Those look nice, old school.

Yeah, I have had the .38 about 55 years, the 45 (not shown) almost as long.
The little 22 I am surprise to find out we have had that 30 years now. Seems like the other day
I picked that up to keep handy.

None at all. I had a 9mm Beretta before I picked up the 22. It was still to big and reason for going to the 22.
I hear the Glock is the choice these days, but I don't know. I always found the one that fits and feels right is right.

I've got a Rock Island Armory 1911 and built an AR-15. Grew up shooting Glocks and I'm looking to purchase one in the next 3-4 months. I'm a fan of the .45 so I'm thinking the Glock 30 SF. I am intrigued by the G19 though.

Had a bit of a change of heart and decided to trade in for a GLOCK 23 .40 Gen4:

This gun is a little bit bigger and the 40cal has more stopping power than a 9mm. Only problem is that this obviously causes a little more recoil but it should be easy to get used to. Once cool thing is this gun can convert to shoot .357, .9mm and even .22 rifle rounds! Will be fun to toy around with it and switch it up a bit.

The 9mm defensive rounds are pretty much just as good as .45 or .40.

Nah 40's and especially 45's are more powerful than a 9mm, but I guess it depends on make and model. This gun is certainly more powerful than the gun I had before. But in terms of just pure defense I guess it doesn't really matter. One good shot and they're down.

Got an AR-15, a couple .357's and a few grenade launchers I inherited. I got more, but basically just keep the stuff around that have the ability to kill with.

Dang grenade launchers?! Are those even legal? lol. And AR's are cool too. Wouldn't mind looking into one of those someday.

My brother picks his up on Friday!

I've shot the Glock 22, 23, and 27. Personally my favorite is the 23 when it comes to the .40 cal.

I'm dying to shoot the Glock 30SF. I want a "compact" .45. I'm also interested in the Smith & Wesson MP45c.
