This is more about bored, angry mobs than -isms. I think the mob is useful, but hard to control. Putting the mob to good use can be done, though.

Yeah, but I don't think the current usage is making fun of the slacktivism as much as the posting about women like they're normal people thing. The Sad Puppies and Rabid Puppies movement in the Hugos really like the term SJW, but to them it means "libtard fiction about feelings". It's mutated out of the "it's about ethics in journalism" specificity into "shut up about white guys being privleged".

I think I stopped watching after the 2nd or 3rd season, can't remember why. I should probably go back and watch it.

Have you seen Dark Matter on SyFy? It's Canadian and a complete rip off of Firefly but it's actually pretty good.

I'll never forgive SyFy for cancelling Farscape, so no I haven't seen the show yet. I'll give it a try on Hulu or something later though.

As for Farscape, it gets crazy in the 4th season, but there's some great episodes in there. I have the materials if you ever need them, but I think it's on Hulu.
