I just bought my mom tickets to the November 9th show for her birthday. Bon Jovi's guest that night will be the All-American Rejects, thats why I got them for that date. Is anyone else going to see them? They still have good tickets left for most shows.

No, but I think I am going to UFC on the 17th as I am coming home from school for a family event.

I wish Bruce Springsteenwould get out of the Meadowlands and play a few shows at the Prudential Center. It's supposed to have the best acoustics of any arena in the country.

Bon Jovi? You mean the girls from NJ who made metal pretty?

I don't want to hijack this thread... too much anyway, but, ... they were discussing this on Eddie Trunk live (Boneyard XM 41) a few Mondays ago about how Jon & buddies as well as Def Leppard are largely responsible for the "Hair metal" scene yetwant nothing to do with it now.

How else do you explain JBJ doing some country sounding stuff & DL going on tour w/ Styx etc...?

Well that's essentially what you did.

How do I explain Bon Jovi doing Country? There's plenty of people in music that switch styles and genres and are successful at. David Bowie made a career out of it, going from glam rock, to soul/R&B to German rock, to pop, back to rock, back to soul, hard rock, etc. A more recent example is Justin Timberlake has abandoned his teen pop image in favor of a more adult, sophisticated look.

I could think of a number of "musical" acts that deserve more crap than Bon Jovi.

He's rude and a little crude, but as safe for work as late night network TV can be.

Gotta give the guys in Bon Jovi a lot of credit for being such good sports.
