BRoy's hosting an exhibition game at Key Arena featuring Seattle players vs. a league team:

http://www.oregonlive.com/nba/index.ssf/2011/07/nba_flavor_returns_to_seattle.html

Seattle team: Brandon Roy, Jamal Crawford, Aaron Brooks, Spencer Hawes, Will Conroy, Isaiah Thomas, Martell Webster, Avery Bradley, Brian Scalabrine, Marvin Williams and Michael Dickerson.

League team: Michael Beasley, Klay Thompson, Brandon Jennings, Nolan Smith, Dorell Wright, Jason Kapono, Troy Bell, Pooh Jeter, Kyle Singler and Marcus Banks.

Might be as close to an NBA game as we get for a long time, plus it would be a chance to see Nolan Smith play.

Doors open at 2....how bad is traffic 12pm-1pm on a Saturday?

Google maps says about 3 hours for me, would be fun, but not sure if it's worth it.

I am considering going to this. I live like four blocks away from the Key.

If anyone's going, let me know and maybe we can meet up or something.

I'm gonna pull a Crapzano and ask why arent there more of his teammates playing in this game? They all must hate him! :devilwink:

I am seriously considering going to the game. Hopefully I can snag some tix at the door.

Probably they're all working with their agents trying to negotiate deals overseas for next season. ;)

Well, LMA is too busy throwing tires around to attend. And I'm totally happy about it.

How is that good training? Does he need to pick up Dwight Howard off the floor and flip him over?
The only thing he should be picking up off the floor is a basketball, it seems to me.

Strength training for his low post game?

Got my tix on ticketmaster. I am curious to see how Nolan Smith and Martell Webster play.

He should put a poster of Dwight's head on that tire. I like the strength training, hoping to see 1 or 2 more post moves from him whenever the next season starts. Really hope McMillian can get his minutes down to middle thirties so he isn't dead exhausted come playoffs.

according to Quick, Broy hasnt even shown.

It's less than 10 minutes away from the H206 Charity game and Brandon Roy is the only player who has not arrived.

Roy's absence has created quite the buzz here at the H206 Charity game. Jamal Crawford, Aaron Brooks ... heck, even Shawn Kemp has shown

Roy is there...

Brandon Roy arrives at H206 event at 3:45. Game was scheduled to start at 3:30, but teams are still warming up. No word if Roy will play

Wow, Winehouse's Rehab song suddenly took on a whole new meaning...

"Gotta send my knees to rehab because they feel old... old... old..."

Roy not playing because he is affraid of getting hurt. Get ready for a lot of Roy not practicing during the season stories.......Ridiculous. If you can't play then retire.

Kobe very rarely ever practices with the Lakers and Drexler was never one to practice. I get your overall point just don't think him not practicing is that big of a deal.

Some Blazer players think it's a big deal. A few have said they need to bring guys in that can practice every day

That player is now the back-up PG in Denver, if Denver picks up his option.

I guess Roy was told before the lockout by his doctor that he shouldn't play in this kind of event. So I guess he knew all along that he wouldn't be playing?
