I don't have a link, but he's twice said that Damian could barely dunk (in comparison to Russell).

Am I hallucinating that Damian has an impressive vertical leap, but just doesn't utilize it because he has more overall skill than Russell?

I think it has more to do with preserving his health. He dunked a lot in his first few years but he has scaled it way back as he has gotten older.

When I think of Skip.... I think his takes “skip” logic and intelligence.

Yawn, FAMS.

Ralph Miller called dunking "A fool's errand" and believed it would increase the risk of injury. He wouldn't let his players do it.

The biggest issue is that a lot of guys don’t know how to land properly. That’s why Rose fucked up his knees. He would land with all of his weight on one leg. Dame would do it too actually.

Maybe we should hear what Skip actually said. His tweet is nothing but love for Dame:

Moe missed a couple dunks on Tuesday that could have been huge, but he was trying so hard to create that crowd wowing moment that he lost sight of the bigger picture of simply putting the ball into the hoop.

I dont understand who watches skip. Isnt his show on like 10-12 or something? What audience does that pull in?
Credit to skip, and Stephen A., they make themselves a lot of money playing the troll. I just never understand who the people are following them.

Damn, all of you guys are just posting SO MUCH good stuff. It's been WAY OVERDUE for us. Thanks much e_blazer, for this one! My take on this- Dame is that good. He grabbed the game, and brought it home. I will seriously cry, if he ever leaves us; and I'm not a whiney bitch.... He just means so much to me, and obviously, to the team and city of Portland. Well, after seeing all of the media attention lately, he is special to many other people across the country too....

Call me @KingSpeed if you want. These guys could bring it home this year. The whole thing. They can get it. They know it. They even admit it. This COULD be the year. Finally. You never know....

And everything will be lined up PERFECTLY for us! Mars, Jupiter, Saturn....

OH, sorry @ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP , I know you love the attention, however; Uranus wont be........

EDIT: That wasn't ment to be mean. I have to admit that hcp has been very cordial towards me this time around. I honestly do appreciate that. Still, I find that funny as hell. Sorry...... LMAO....

Agreed. Health comes first. He still dunks once in a while but pretty rare. It looked like all of those dunks were in the Aldridge/Batum era. That's been a while.

The thing about Lillards dunks is he can get up there buts very telegraphed, you can tell his two-three steps towards the rim he’s going to try to pack it. Which most NBA guys are quick enough to see it and meet him up there. He doesnt try it a lot because I think he knows he needs space to get to it. He’s not like those guys who can just effortlessly jump out of the building, and thats perfectly ok he plays to his strengths and is a superstar dunking or not.

Yup. Most of them were from his second year, I think.

And I think Dame is less worried about the flashy play now.

i just watched a video of skip and shannon and they were praising Lillard and saying how much of a piece of shit teammate RW is and how he is a stat padder. they also said that PG's mentality is starting to turn into RW's. it was nice to watch.

On the one hand, I miss the dame that attacked the rim, but on the other hand I don’t want to see him go the way of Derrick Rose.

You're gonna have to help me on this one...

Especially after that 2 for 1 play he made that created his game winner...

When did Dame stop attacking the rim?

I mean dunking. Not layups. Specifically, if you go back and watch the videos of him dunking in his second season, he was landing on one leg a lot (which is what ultimately destroyed Rose's knee.)

Yeah, like Mo.

I swear Mo looks like one of those ninja dudes in an old martial arts movie, when they just elevate to the top of a wall or building. Mo plants his feet, then suddenly glides up and stuffs the ball through the net, then jogs up the court like it was nothing.

But why did Mo not wear the Ninja Mo head dress for game 5?
Did he get told not to wear it anymore after throwing it?

Bayless is eating crow until he pukes over the Thunder...people don't realize Skip was born bred and raised in Oklahoma City...all his buddies growing up still live there...he's an Thunder super homer to begin with. He worships Westbrook.
