Anyone else really worried for the Clipps game?

We are on a back to back, coming off of an emotional win and they always give us hell down there. Hell, even Freddie was killing us last time until we turned it on in the 4th. I just really would hate to lose HCA due to a letdown against the Clipps.

I had the same thoughts regarding Memphis after the Blazers won that big game against the Suns. We all know how that turned out. ;)

I thought we'd drop this one when I was predicting my "last 10", but we're playing really well, and I think we should be able to get out with a W.

I wouldn't say I'm worried. I definitely don't think it's going to be a cakewalk, but with so much on the line and the 'quiet' confidence this team seems to be playing with (as opposed to riding big emotional highs to get wins like they did last year during The Streak) I think they should handle their business and play reasonably well -- certainly well enough to 'D' up in the paint and punish them inside on the glass. I believe they are going to be minus Camby.

I expect LaMarcus to carve Z-Bo up and Greg to abuse Kaman (hopefully).

Edit: whoops, just noticed they will have Camby ...

that was a home game, this one is a roadie, huge difference..this is our toughest game left..we get this one, we get HCA

With the way this team has been playing, I'm fully confident that we can win out the rest of our schedule.

Here's something to ponder. IF Sacramento were to beat Denver (big IF), would you be happy getting the #2 seed but having to play Dallas in the first round?

Yes. Portland played poorly against Dallas this year, but I don't think it should be expected to continue. Portland has to be able to beat less-talented teams if they want to aim higher.

They should relish the chance to beat Dallas in round 1 and then have HCA in round 2.

I'm really worried about it.

It might be a back-to-back for both teams, but Portland didn't have to travel.

It's the fourth game in five nights.

It's the first game after two emotional wins.

The Clippers will be getting Zach back. I just have a bad feeling about that.

Those factors have me worried. But I also think they're peaking. If this team really has developed that mental toughness they've talked about for a few weeks now, they will roll in and pull out a win - one way or another.
