Anyone else see Michael Wilbon and Magic Johnson making their predictions?

KingSpeed: "Yes, the Suns are hot, but we're pretty damn hot too having won 14 of our last 18 game before the Warriors game that meant nothing to us."

Me: "The majority of those wins were against small potato patsies. By my count we went 5-8 against Western playoff teams since February."

KingSpeed: "14-10 over the whole season, some of the wins without Brandon Roy. Yes, we were 1-7 against Utah and Denver, but we probably won't play either of those teams so why do those games matter??"

They matter if we are debating how well we have been playing LATELY. Over the last few months of the season, the Suns have done a bit better than us against elite opponents -- and that was WITH Brandon for the most part.

Dude. Turn on TNT at 7:30pm tomorrow night. Learn the game. Then post.

We beat the Jazz in the second round of the 1999 playoffs. The Jazz had HCA and Brandon Roy did not play. Rider owned Jeff Hornacek. Can we pick up Rider for this series?

Who said the player removed had to be Brandon? Pick our best player that year. (Sheed.) Remove him from the series. Now try to argue (with a straight face) that we would have beaten the Jazz without him.

That said...

On THIS we can definitely agree!

GO BLAZERS!

"With Jermaine O'Neal, Kelvin Cato, and Brian Grant sharing Sheed's minutes we could've beaten the Jazz because Rider fucking owned Hornacek in the post and Brian Grant neutralized Karl Malone," KingSpeed said with a straight face.

Dude, you are a TRUE believer. I tip my hat to you!

If this bulldog wants to sing, let him! Don't stand between him and the national anthem!

I'm going to regret this...

I completely agree. That series was Rider's 100%. The next would have been too if he hadn't hurt his knee near the end of the Utah series. Miller is Rider without the crazy.

I thought Magic was a very predictable player, too. I could see every slow motion move coming 5 seconds in advance. As a coach, he sucked. As a TNT commentator, about 2 months before Bob Whitsitt quit, Magic read a script saying that Whitsitt should be fired. This was after 18 billion people had already said the same thing (with me arguing with them all the way). Predictable is the word.

I thought you said you only posted things that entertain us?

They picked the favorite in every series so it was kinda pointless. They acted like they had some sort of insight but a 4 year old could pick the favorite in every series without any knowledge of basketball. And Magic completely disregarded us. He just said "No Brandon Roy so the Suns will run them off the court."

When has their been absolutely no upset in the playoffs? I don't think it's ever happened. In fact, I can't remember the last time two #1 seeds met in the Finals.

a lot of analysts pick 4 #1 seeds in the ncaa tourney also, has no meaning

Yeah, it's been a long time. 2 years since #1 seed Boston and #1 seed LA met in the finals.
