I had lowered mine; considerably.

I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have. :dancewookiee:

Gramps...

3 guards. No Chauncy. Good formula for a win!

Yeah, I don't know what to think. Juwan Howard looked like crap the beginning of this season, literally like a player who does not belong on an NBA squad. Lately he has looked very poised. Will he run out of juice, because we literally have no low post players. That is my concern. Still the team looks good right now. I do think we make the playoffs for sure. I wasn't so sure a week or so ago. Other than that, I don't think we get into the top 4. We might be a tough out in the playoffs. We will have to see.

With everything that has happened this year, I don't have any expectations. We could win 50 games, or flame out and finish at .500. Can you really compete for a 2/3 of a season with Howard & Pendegraph? Credit due to both guys - no doubt, but it might not last and I get that.

So I'm taking it day by day and having more fun watching this team since last March/April, when our guys were pasting everybody by 20 points a game during the final 11 reg. season games last season. Maybe more fun.

I expect us to win the championship. As long as that's Roy's mission (see signature), that's what I expect.

The star of Christmas Day was.... LeBron? No. Kobe? God no. Wade maybe? Not really. Lemme guess... Melo, right?

WRONG

Brandon Fucking Roy who just clinched his third straight All Star appearance on national TV and will enter the MVP discussion if we keep winning.

My expectations haven't really changed since our roster is depleted and I don't know how long Howard can keep this up (he is a beast). However, this season has been good just because we get to see the development of one, Jerryd Bayless. He will have his tough nights (tonight) and he will have his good nights, not every team has great shot blockers like Denver and I don't think every team will double him as hard as Denver did today. This development gives us a possible future line-up of Bayless, Roy, Batum/Webster/ Aldridge, and Oden and assuming Bayless can keep at least his defender honest and everyone is healthy, there is your scary team.

I think it's too early for my expectations to settle down anywhere -- seems like every week brings a new injury to factor in to the equation. That said, if the undermanned Blazers keep playing with this much energy and fire, I'll be a satisfied fan no matter how the season ends.

There's a difference between aiming for a championship (Roy) and expecting a championship (KingSpeed).

I think the Blazers are over achieving right now, but I can live with that. Howard is amazing for his age. Maybe people won't hate on Blake so much. I think our lack of size will hurt us in the long run, but I like their heart.

I don't know how long we can keep this level of play up against elite-level teams. We're sure maximizing the potential of our team right now, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Great win!

I was hating on Blake up until the 4th quarter. He shut me up right quick.

My expectations are steadily returning, but I won't hold my breath for any deep post season success. However, I'm damn proud of the way they're playing.

Apparently, Howard saw conditioning guru Tim Grover over the summer. Now, he's like Grant Hill mkII out there: As Schonley used to say about Wayne Cooper, "He's taking his Ponce De Leon pills!"

All I have to say is Greg needs to track this man down, and pay him to never leave his side for the next 15 years.

No.

The team still has depth in the backcourt - but the front line is held together with duct-tape and prayer. Teams will begin to exploit the obvious weakness.

Nope. My expectations are that without a real center the emotions that are carrying them to victories will dry up a little bit, fatigue will set in and they'll be lucky to squeak out an 8th seed, or they may end up the 9th seed. If a trade is made to get them some more front-court help and if Nic can return and provide consistent good play from the jump then maybe they get over and can give us a fifty win season, but thems the breaks.

Has not changed mine. Just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Enjoying it while I can though. I do think we are playing our best ball.

umm chauncy played

not in the 2nd half - they were a much different team w/o him. But we are a much different team w/o Oden, Pryz, Rudy, Nic, & Trout so I don't feel too bad for Denver.

We're in a position where one player on the opposing team with a boo boo in his sensitive parts doesn't mean the win was diminished. If the Nuggets are so brittle that they can't adjust to losing their starting PG for 24 minutes, they deserve to be beaten and beaten hard.

i guess i never really have expectations, its more about the unknown and the journey than fulfilling my personal ideas of what they might do.

Once Przybilla went down, I expected the team to miss the playoffs. I've now revised my expectations upward to challenging for a 6-8 seed. Roy/Aldridge/Bayless/Miller is still a talented "core"....they'll get some reinforcements later. The lack of front court depth, though, is still very worrying.
