Y'all need to quit caffeine. Fucking up your bodies. Lol.
Off-topic but my Mother in law who is in better shape than like 99.9% of people on the planet and I'm not exaggerating would disagree with you a lot (this lady runs 15-20 marathons and 2 ultra marathons every year). I've actually been at her house when she's made me sit through documentaries on how good caffeine is for you. She's all in on the caffeine train, she also has a degree in nutrition. Not that any of that means she's 100% correct. Caffeine is a drug, one that I love lol.

Ive heard that side too. But when peoples hearts fuck up and their body is all out of whack because of the caffeine.... Just need to take a step back.

Its probably all the sugar that usually comes with the caffeine.

Its partly to blame. But the caffiene fucks with you just as much. Ive cut it out for 15+ years and sugar doesnt do nearly the damage... Though i also cut way back on that too.

Id also like to see who backed those documentaries.... Always interesting.

The problem is excess of that stuff. You’re body needs glucose to run. Coffee in moderation is good for you too. Just like some wines are amazing for your health. The problems arise when you’re drinking way too much of that stuff.

Im not denying that, i suppose I'm arguing the fact that caffiene over time doesnt wear down the body. Physicalogically our bodies arent made to be in artifical alert mode.

Sorry to hijack the thread. Lol. Ill digress now.

It may be a wise career move to start going to Stumptown Coffee, and then ask them. Just a thought.:emotions:
Once again, another connection of mine. My brother in law runs their warehouses and sets up their shops around the country.
My social game and connections are at an MVP level!

Hahaha.

How would I get you coffee from a different locations? By pigeon?

Also, this would be like letting Aminu play PG and asking him to shoot pull-up 3s and get 7 assists a game while Dame sits in the corner.

If you ever did host a podcast, I'd host it on the channel and help you get some clout though. I'm generous like that.
You seem to not realize I had a show on NBA.com for two years kid. Podcasts are for those with a face for radio.

My god. More than one marathon a month? That is just crazy? Two or three a year is tops for any sane person.

Sugar is much worse than caffeine IMO.
Totally agree. Sugar is what is killing people. Diabetes is completely out of control. Just watch eating habits of pretty much the entire country. Hate to say this because i love meat but our diets are whack. Reducing the amount of meat intake to around 15% of your diet also is a good idea.
But a cup of coffee in the morning is pretty much mandatory. And yes Black Rock makes a good cup of coffee.

I was never able to get into the whole coffee thing but my diet cokes give me all the caffeine I need. Taste of coffee just never appealed to me and I might have drank a partial cup once in my life.

wrong..….sugar does way more damage than caffeine....caffeine is bad for your body if you don't also drink plenty of water after your coffee....two glasses of water to every cup of coffee...also I suffered heart failure a year ago and coffee was one thing I didn't have to give up in recovery.....the worst thing for your heart is sugar booze, tobacco and salt.....cut those 4 things out and you won't have to worry about coffee and your heart.....sugar is poison...Chinese green tea is excellent for the heart and it has lots of caffeine

Caffeine causes some people, like myself, headaches. I abstain as much as possible. However, I will have the occasional cola when drinking Cuba Libre cocktail.

We all have our tastes and differences with how our body reacts to certain foods and fluids. I pay close attention to my body, how I'm feeling and I roll with that.

hence, the reason I stated 2 cups of water for every cup of coffee or tea...….headaches from caffeine are generally signs of dehydration...coffee dehydrates people.

I understand you are trying to help, but you do not understand. I drink anywhere from 15 to 20 cups of water a day. I will get a headache from the caffeine even when I drink that much water every day.

I think it's highly likely I may have a non-allergic food intolerance to caffeine.

I dunno about the booze... though I consider wine booze. lol.

And as a person who drinks water way more than the regular person, caffiene still had a very negative impact on me personally until I cut it out.

That being said, bodies are different and we just need to listen to them. I didn't mean to sound preachy in my original thing. lol.

WTF????
Quit CAFFEINE?
I don't even know where to start?

Start by... doing it? lol it's not that easy. I was a pretty habitual user in my early 20's with caffiene, then I started feeling what it was doing to my body, so one day I just quit it. I've had caffiene 3 times in the last 15 years to see if my body would react differently, it did not. (I tested this theory 1, 2 and 3 years after quitting, so its been 12 solid years of no caffiene).

This thread is cracking me up. It starts out with bonesy asking for money and is now a discussion on caffeine, water and sugar. I thought I warped into a medical forum, lol.

Be fair--Bones never asked for money, just connections.

But yeah, the nutrition discussion definitely felt a tad out of place...
