No.

Mags he seems to be underappreciated if anything, the guy is clearly talented. He should get a much better contract on another team, I wonder how many gms are aware of advanced metrics though.

Hell no. Guy is a freaking pervert.

The word I heard was that he is just fine legally speaking. His story has been vetted, that's why he wasn't signed sooner.

I heard the same thing. I heard that it was just a misunderstanding that dragged his name through the mud, but I don't really have any sources on that.

EDIT:

Just did a quick google search and found this -

Attorney for former Nuggets center Chris Andersen says legal case not connected to children

The legal case involving former Nuggets center Chris Andersen has yet to be resolved, a Douglas County Sheriff's sergeant said, but Andersen's attorney went public Thursday, reiterating a claim made last May that his client was duped and then extorted by a woman claiming to be of legal age. The Douglas County investigation involves possible Internet crimes involving a minor.

"What I'd like to communicate is, this had nothing to do with children," attorney Mark Bryant told The Denver Post on Thursday. "This had to do with an individual who represented herself as legal age and then some, and by the way, is and was at legal age."

Sounds like the guy got taken, but I still haven't seen anything that says he's "cleared." None the less, it doesn't sound like he's a kiddie-diddler or anything.

Just found this, which explains the gist of the case -

Andersen's lawyer explains, "A female fan in 2010 mailed Mr. Andersen multiple letters and included several photos in which she was scantily clad."

"Chris and this woman communicated with each other and in 2011, this woman, who represented herself as 21 years of age, flew to Colorado, showing her required identification. After leaving Colorado, she became upset at his lack of interest. In 2012, she threatened to retaliate if he did not provide financial remuneration. "

Andersen's lawyer claims someone purporting to be the woman's mother followed up with an email that read "I want him to pay for everything on her Amazon wish list, 5K for her bedding stuff and her Victoria's Secret wish list."

The statement continues, "The media has been speculating that he's a suspect and not a victim in a criminal investigation. Mr. Andersen has been fully cooperative with the authorities. The investigation is expected to take three weeks. We're confident it will show that Chris did not engage in any criminal conduct."

For the record -- Andersen has neither been arrested nor charged with a crime.

So for the crime of being victimized by a golddigger, he was made yet another victim of the manhating mass media.

Re: Anyone interested in making a run at the Chris "Birdman" Anderson in free agency?

really?

with the blazers avoiding even a hint of taint, you would accept this walking freak show?

Yes. He's a very good basketball player. Exactly what we need on our team. I doubt he'd want to play for us though. But I'd rather have him at center than Jordan.

for vet min, after we signed everyone else, I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's better than Meyers Leonard.

you know, after reading someof the other post, I find him less tastless..and he can play...oh, he would fit the "Keep Portland Wierd" movement
