Anyone know how to transfer dvr recordings to PC?

I've heard you can actually record dvr using a dvd or something...

What is the easiest way to externally save dvr files?

I maybe able to give you an answer tomorrow. My wife does it all the time but she is not here right now.

My wife uses a Toshiba DVD player/burner hooked up to the Dish DVR. She can burn the programs she recorded.
She makes education DVDs for the little grand kids off stuff that she records during the day. Some of it is sort of cool
like a bear telling the toddlers the benefits of using the potty instead of your pants.
