Speaking of Mania, pay close attention to some striking parallels.
During the section when they discuss Bill Walton and his first few injury plagued years with the Blazers, they talked about how the fans and the media were really down on him, and how it shouldn't have suprised anyone as he "didn't come into the league NBA ready". Obviously reminded me a lot of Oden, and we saw how things turned out with Walton.
During the Championship season section, Maurice Lucas makes a point about how unbeatable the team was at home, but they weren't a championship team until they learned how to win on the road. He said they started out that year 0-9 on the road, and were just terrible. Obviously this years team comes to mind.
I only got to watch the first half of it, but it was a really great watch. I'll look forward to seeing the rest on the 16th.
