Looks like Dave Decker forms blazers edge agrees with carlito. This is from his recap guys....

The good news for Portland: 8-2 and another road victory, this one under unfamiliar circumstances. *The bad news: *opponents are starting to zero in now. *Toronto was aiming right down the throat of the lane from the first second of the first quarter. *They couldn't shoot well enough to make the defense play honest and thus faltered, but if you're Portland you have to feel a little bit like Cinderella hearing that clock tick. *The Blazers are getting great performances and pulling the fat out of the fire but the gap seems to be closing, the margin for error shrinking.

just how dumb do you think people here are? Because it sure seems you think they're a bunch of mental midgets with the act you put on.

Ahh, fuck you. The wine message boards and saltwater fish message boards aren't the same. Everyone on those boards actually all know their shit and know it. They're all uptight.... what is that thing on the tip of the dick, again? Ahh, yes... The dick hole. I don't have much choice at the moment, admittedly. So fuck you, I have nowhere else to go where my ass hole ways actually are appreciated, and that's sad and good all in one. And thanks to mags for reaching out, ghey as he is. 8-2 also makes it more difficult to avoid this place.

But keep my name out your mouth!

I reach out from your backside. I tickle your chest hair and blow softly on your earlobe.

The elephant in the room is that Carlito/Brock still won't admit to being MIXUM, right?

Shows what you really know about me.

I have no chest hair.

Well, I do have a little, but as you've told me, it's less than your wife.

well, if Sly is correct (and he is) and Carlito and Brock share the same IP address, maybe Carlito hired Brock to help him find Mixum?

OR maybe Brock offed Carlito, and Carlito is dead.

The world may never know (although we all do)

Is it atrocious? I think they are improved from last year. Nonetheless, I didn't expect them team to be playing .800 ball after 10 games.

There is time for this improve but it may not and it may be what you said this team falls back to earth.

I did have one question on the matter. The last two close game ended with Mo,Liilard, Wes, Batum, and LMA on the floor. Is that our best game ending Defensive stoppers? No Wright or Lopez.......Against Detroit I would have added Wright instead of Mo since Batum was covering the PG

Against Toronto I would have added length and had Wright replace Lillard. Mo seemed to play excellent D , so with Mo, Wes, Batum Wright, and Lopez. we would sit our superstars at the end of some games in a last shot scenario only.

Make the change Terry. Mo guards the quick PG's, Batum and Wright needs to cover the athletic guys driving to the basket. Lopez can guard the paint. If the center/PF is an athletic guy who can step back and hit a jumper, then use LMA instead of Lopez

You're going to sit Lillard down the stretch for ... Dorrell Wright? Mmmkay

Dave Decker also said that turnovers, and negative trends from pre-season carry weight in projecting regular season performance. And, that you cannot put any stock in rebounding performance, or positive trends from pre-season. Of course, not only was his explanation misguided, but incorrect. In fact, the opposite occurred. As of today, Portland is 9th in Turnover ratio (# turnovers per 100 possessions) and basically tied for 2nd with 5 other teams at 52% in rebounding percentage. They have also played Houston who is #1 in that category, and Toronto who is #3 in that category once this season. My point is not to call Dave out, who's a huge Blazer fan and does his thing on BE. I actually enjoy reading his stuff at times. But, it's just an opinion, and agreeing with someone doesn't prove anything other than you agree. Needless to say, I don't subscribe to the imminent doom theory you cited from Dave's Toronto game summary above.

I think the lineup that closed out the game today was due to trying to match up with the quicker lineup the Raptors had in, as well as Lopez fouled out and Freeland had five fouls. I also think Stotts likes the idea of having two capable PG's with SG ability in during crunch time to theoretically cut down on turnovers, have a better chance at creating opportunities on offense and generate steals. It's a gamble, but I think it's a very calculated one, not a coaching mistake by any means.

I'm not so sure Lopez fouling out mattered. He was not in the last defensive stop versus Phoenix (@ Portland) either and he had not fouled out. I think Stotts just wanted his most athletic guys on the court.

Lmao you are the female BNM

I didn't see today's game so I can't say why it happened today. But whenever I watch I notice time and time again that LMA refuses to rotate to protect the basket. Once Lopez comes out to help whoever burned the perimeter defense LMA needs to rotate away from his man towards the hoop - he rarely does. And what's even more maddening is that he's often guarding the least-gifted offensive big, so he should be able to help out and then recover to a poor-to-average offensive player if the ball does get passed to his man. And even then there should be rotations by the other players to help out on LMA's man when he rotates to protect the hoop.

We will always give up points in the paint until both Lopez AND LMA rotate and protect the hoop.
Really early foul trouble by Lopez and Freeland had something to do with this in this game. LaMarcus knew he had to stay out of foul trouble and would play some 5...I blame it on 10am tipoff more than anything.
