Now let me tell you, any part of me that wanted Lamarcus back is very quiet after watching this game.
He looked like an old ice cream truck trying to race against a brand new Porsche (Green).

Really fun watching the Warriors completely dismantle the Spurs and fat Aldridge.

I also hope we don't offer Barnes too much money this offseason, he doesn't look too good out there.

Of course he is not concerned. His team will look better later on, but LMA is not a good matchup against Draymond or Warriors defense in general.

Prior to last night, Aldridge had played OK against Green. Wonder what the difference was last night. Aldridge just too big these days?

The thing about SA, like most team, is they play better at home. (24-0) I can see it going 7 in the playoffs. GS is so tough at home as well. There is a lot of energy in that building that they feed off of.

I agree about LMA though. His style of game does not match up with Green. His previous games against the Warriors, were not this year. Green is better this year.

Was thinking the same thing about Harrison Barnes. He is just not worth the money he is going to want, in order to leave the Warriors. Sure I would like to get him, but he is not that third star.

Watched Marjanovic for the first time. He is ...... OK. Yes he runs the floor pretty well for a guy his size, but unless the rebound is going right to him he is not getting it. He reminds me of Robin in that respect. Slow reaction time, if it hits the floor someone else is getting it. I was surprised by his motor. He hustles a lot, but I would prefer to have someone a little quicker. I also would be leery of giving him big minutes. To me he looks like an injury waiting to happen.

Marjanovic is huge but he looks like he's running with combat boots out there.

previous matchups often featured david lee whom lacked defensive skills, i can't recall the exact quotes but there were personal motivational reasons for lamarcus wanting to humble lee, might have been an allstar snub?

Pop has the built in excuse that Duncan wasn't playing. But Duncan doesn't make up 30 points.

I like Pop & believe he's near the tops in coaches of all time BUT I give him no pass; w/ or w/o Duncan, the end result would've been the same & IF Duncan would've played, the way it all went down would only b slightly different. Spurs were dismantled last night, severely outplayed & out coached. Talent-wise, it's obvious GS is/was superior but the Spurs should've come w/ more effort/urgency/ect. than that; they were flat out unprepared/never matched the intensity level of GS. GS clearly wanted the W more & it showed throughout the entire game.

I can't stop thinking about our pre-season win against GS.
I know it was only preseason ,but our guys ran like freaking deers against them.

Curry and Klay penetrate and shoot? Dame and CJ penetrate and shoot, Green passes?Plumdog can pass too.
So yea, they are a level above us right now, but was that game a glimpse into the future?

Exactly. Duncan averages 9 point a game. Not the type of game that he would get big minutes in. But maybe psychologically the Spurs can hold on to the fact Timmy did not play......

And they were all with the Blazers, where he was force fed the ball in an offense designed around his play style.

Last night showed two major flaws in LA's game, things we have always known:

1 - When he's not The Man (and sometimes when he is The Man) on offense, he doesn't produce; he's not a garbage man. He needs plays run for him to shine.

2 - Smaller, pesky forwards make him second-guess himself. Draymond Green, who averages more than a steal a game and is shorter at 6'7", is possible the worst matchup he could face.

3 - (bonus) He loves to switch on guards because he thinks he can, but now that he's old and fat, he gets abused by even average guards. Curry is hardly just average though.

Lamarcus was the first NBA player to be DNP coaches decision and still hang out on the court for most of the game

Something tells me Pop isn't too concerned about a regular season 'thrashing' at GS.
Is that it? No one played over 25 minutes.
No one played more than Curry's 28 minutes for GS either, but damn, the man gunned them down, then Livingston leaves them no hope.
