I just got the new iPhone 6, or as HCP would say baller ass iPhone 6. But I'm a little weary of my phone and my wallet merging. I'll wait, see if anyone gets their ID stolen or if it's assecre as its supposed to be. Let me know if it's easy and convenient for you.

I DON'T HAVE AN APPLE.

From what people are telling me, its really limited where available. Like McDonalds and Macys.

A number of Bank of America customers took to Twitter to complain they were charged twice for purchases they made using Apple's new mobile payments system.

A Bank of America spokeswoman acknowledged the issue, but she declined release details about how many users had complained about the glitch.

"We apologize for this inconvenience and are correcting this issue immediately. All duplicates will be refunded," spokeswoman Tara Burke said.

Apple declined to comment.
One user tweeted "Problems with #ApplePay - it looks like my @bankofamerica account was double charged by @Walgreens."

Bank of America and Walgreens responded to the tweet and the user later said the claim was resolved.

I put two of my debit cards into Apple Pay, but havent used it yet.

BUMP.

Be honest, how many times have you used Apple Pay in the past month. Where, and for what.

I use it at firehouse subs near my work. Also at work (Home Depot) when I need to buy a snack or a 2x4. Also the vending machines in the break room take it, kind of random.

A mobile payment system is only as secure as its weakest link... and in the case of Apple Pay, it's the banks' ability to verify who you are. The Guardian has learned that thieves are setting up iPhones with stolen IDs and taking advantage of lackadaisical identity checks (often just a part of the social security number) to provision victims' cards for Apple Pay. After that, it's open season -- crooks just have to claim that the legitimate card owner is on a trip to go on a shopping spree.

Apple Pay itself is still airtight at last check, so you shouldn't have to worry about surprise purchases as long as you're still in control of your ID. However, the exploits (which have reportedly led to "millions" in losses) suggest that banks should have a tougher verification standard for mobile payment platforms like this, including future systems like Android Pay. Otherwise, the same tech that saves you from pulling out your wallet will also make theft that much easier.

Do cashiers think to themself, "who's this douchebag?"

i've used Android Pay a few times, not bad. Just this new chip and pin bullshit takes too fucking long to process.

I use my Apple Watch to pay for cab rides all the time. And yes, at McDonald's and at our local grocery store. It's very convenient. You don't need to take out your wallet.
