Appreciation of Joe Thomas

Offensive tackle out of Wisconsin, projected to be a top 5 pick, this weekend while all the other first round picks are waiting around with agents and cell phones Thomas will be fishing on a lake with his dad. I just thought that is so incredible respectable realizing this is probably one of the few times the guy will have to enjoy with his father after being drafted. Some critics are bashing the hell out of this guy saying he should be at the draft and he has no respect for getting picked. Absolutely retarted. Good for Joe.

I love Joe Thomas and wish he would come to the Patriots..unfortunately we don't have a top 5 pickHe's humble and doesn't try to make himself "a big deal" and the center of attentionLike most offensive linemen he just does his job day in and day out and doesn't get any respect

I think it's nice but I'm not that bothered either way. I would like the Card to pick him however, give Matt some time to throw the damn ball this year!

At the beginning of the season I went to a Badgers game (my supervisor from work's brother is starting LG Andy Kemp, who plays right next to Thomas http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=382&p=8&a...amp;nid=956346). I got Thomas' autograph, he's a nice guy, his aunt actually goes to each Badgers game with a shaved head with his number on each side.

I heard NFL network is going to be there with Thomas in his fishing boat with his reaction when he gets drafted.

I heard this on 'Jim Rome is Burning', and I love the guy now.. Seems real down the earth, and a real good guy that anyone would want on their team. Besides him being a good guy, he's also a beast on the field..

Hmm, were you born in AZ because it's kind of different that a guy from the UK would pick Arizona teams to root for.I like that he's doing this. I don't really like spending time with my dad that much but I respect him for putting family ahead of this stuff. The only think I heard on ESPN was against the NFL. Are they seriously going to have a camera in the boat to see his reaction?
