Re: Are American 'Christians' a bunch of posers?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Believing in religion makes people superior now?Anyway, yeah. I think most Christians are "posers," so to speak. Most of them have their faith handed down to them, just like their political views, what college they want to go to, blah blah blah. The point is, they are told why they should believe in something as youths. Maybe not even why, but usually just that they should. My personal problem was that I felt that the only reliable source of Christian doctrine is the Bible. Oh sure, there's other texts out there, but I wouldn't put any faith in them. Some people see the Bible as a "spiritual guide," filled with allegories, figures of speech, and metaphors to convey some sort of story. I just can't see how someone can put their faith in something like that. When I was a Christian, I certainly had faith that the Bible was true. (I didn't believe that the Bible was true only because it said so, by the way.) For some reason, it irks me when a person quotes a Bible verse in their AIM profile and puts something about getting wasted in their away message. I don't know, certainly people will disagree with me.</div>One of the many nice posts ive seen....soo about the 72 virginswhat do female suicide bombers get?is it 72 virgins each? or do you have to share?who would want a muslim virgin anyway, she wouldnt be too open on the whole sex thing, especially because she is still a virgin...i have hundreds of virgins at my skool and havent been laid once by them. Dont take it too seriously
