I'm proud of how well our team has played this year and regardless of the playoffs it'll be a great season to remember.

But I always thought it was silly to have division champ banners hanging from the rafters. It made a bit more sense when the western conference had two division. But this season winning a division with 4 other teams 3 which were deep into the lottery and the other having major injuries isn't historically impressive. Its a nice feat but nothing worthy of a banner up in the rafters.

We already have the 2009 NW Division Championship banner hanging up there. We can always take them down to make way for our future crush of World Champion banners.

Meh. Not when KD hes been out nearly all year, and with DEN/UTA/MIN all tanking for much of the year (BTW, how the hell did we lose to the Wolves? TWICE?! ugh). Doesn't do much for our players, while it probably adds extra motivation for our opponents. If you wanna crown them, then crown their ass!

Hang it up! 10 Years from now nobody is going to even care if Durant was out. Scoreboard is scoreboard, we had our own injuries. If we run out of room take it down, It's not like a retired jersey where it's out of control to hang it.

You don't see "Division" banners in any other arena's. At least not the teams that matter.

I guess that's not really banners though.....just a list.

Okay i would go for that. I like the list type of banner. But then again the Blazers list would not be very large. So maybe go with Banners and then when they get too many go to the list?

small banners or better yet, an engraved plaque

How about a subtle division banner such as Westbrick and the rest of cow town being crushed under a giant Lillard Adidas?

Just save money and make the banner into the cheerleaders costumes, few letters on each costume and you could play scrabble at halftime

Depends on how many cheerleaders you are talking about and if they spell out Division Champs or do they go with Champions? :devilwink:

Utah wasn't tanking this year. They'd probably make playoffs in East. Also- do we really have a 2009 banner? That's awful. We didn't win the tiebreaker.

I'd go with Champions so somebody would have PI on their chest

not that i'm in favor of a Division championship banner.
Interesting that they would put division banners up for the years they won the championship? What's with that?

It might just be the angle of the picture/location of where it was taken. Maybe it was taken around the time they won their second set of three-peats.
