I think we've now succeeded in losing the target on our back...teams will start to play down to us....rest their starters....etc...then when it clicks we'll kick some serious ass!! Go Blazers!
Gee. What a relief

Ah - the Rope-A-Dope strategy! Genius!

Do we know yet?

Not really. Taking the team's temperature after 8 games on the road, two back-to-back home games and two home games against the second best teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences is probably not likely to be too accurate.

Are they as bad as their current cold streak? No, probably not, but I think 33 games in, it's fair to say this team will be lucky to get to .500; which would mean going 28-21 (.571) over the home-stretch. Not impossible, and certainly still within reach if they can take their performance last night against Toronto and keep up that same level of concentration and intensity.

Of course that brings up the question of whether or not a .500 record and a (likely) 1st round sweep is good enough ...

My only ray of hope for this roster is that they replicate last seasons mid season surge and better teams fall off a bit...Stotts always says something I like....the goal is to be peaking in March, not November....in some ways, I don't want to know the end game until the fat lady sings. Trade deadline could put us in the playoffs or else we'll continue to under achieve...either way, I'll still watch. The lottery is something that happens to teams...not a goal and so far, looks like it'll happen...lot of season left though.
