One of the ways I gauge personality and compatibility with someone is on their thoughts of Norm Macdonald.

So, what are your thoughts?

I love the guy...sometimes in interviews he seems uncomfortable and disconnected but in his element he's an underrated comic....Steven Wright is another one I really love...well what do you think of Norm McDonald? I'll say he made a movie once I thought was complete crap but when he's on his game, he's great. I didn't know how to answer the poll because part of his act is to play stupid...and as much as I enjoyed his work when he was young....I wouldn't call him a genius...Jonathon Winters was a genius

I'm keeping my thoughts private now so it won't sway the vote for people who hate me

I love Norm. He is hilarious - even if he is a cranky old bastard.

The first 3 minutes is Norm - and it shows how brilliant he is.

Because I've enjoyed his work I voted for the first option in the poll but with the disclaimer that brilliant might not be the adjective I'd use..I'd say quirky

He is a genius. A SNL staple. Have you seen Dirty Work? Brilliant

To me he is a genius. So incredibly smart. You never know where you are in the joke. Constantly laughing before the punchline. It's really impressive
He has a special comedic talent of being inclusive that Steven Wright or Louis CK also have..he never seems to talk at people but with them...that makes for great comedy in my book. As I said, he did make a terrible movie I watched once...can't remember the name of it but on his game I'll watch him every time.

I like his dry humor. Its actually funnier when people are uneasy about whether they should laugh or not
