Big brother is horrible television.

I completely disagree. It is the only place you can see people who would normally NEVER think of interacting have to live together. It's fucking genius. And they have no contact with the outside works whatsoever. The situation forces college professors to interact with hillbillies,strippers,soccer moms, you name it.

It is a peek into our society's social quirks at it's rawest forms. I love it.

It's genius because they maybe spend $2M for the whole season. CBS paid Charlie Sheen $1,25M per episode of 2 1/2 Men.

I've watched it several times and too many people go out of their true to life character to do what they think will make the cameras happy.

I go to Inn at Seventh Mountain every summer and all my cousins who are around your age go as well. Every night that shows on they drop what they're doing to go watch it.

Did you hear about the scandal with Storage Wars? Looks like the producers have been seeding things to find in the lockers.

That seemed prettty obvious from the get go. I mean really, who is leaving $2K vintage Coke machines and gold bars in abandonded storage units? It is as fake as a $3 bill.

Now Pawn Stars on the other hand? Still a great show.

And I love me some Survivor.

I wonder if in a show like Deadliest Catch they stuff the crab pots with crabs before they get pulled up.

Anyone watch Whale Wars? That's got to be real, edited for drama, but real (right?). That green peace stuff is crazy . . . what people will do to try and save the whales.

I don't think so because the show them pulling up lots of empty pots.

In storage wars, they would have lockers that only had a bunch of junk. But I can't imagine they would fill pots or empty them just for TV. We are talking combined, millions of dollars of crabs, they wouldn't tamper with something like that.

Whale Wars I'm watching guys get injured and arrested, don't think they are just doing it for TV. Editing can have a big impact and TV probably encourages a lot of the drama . . . but I think there is some dose of reality to some of these shows.
