Reminds me of my youngest. Everyone will be telling her to do one thing and she'll explicitly do the opposite, just cause.

Arizona will start getting cancelled like NC was with the bathroom bill

Odds of Arizona being the new site of the RNC just improved.
I'd prefer that over it coming to central Florida, which has been proposed. Especially with the NBA coming to town and covid still a risk.

I'd prefer that they cancel the Republican National Convention and do it all on line.

I thought it was just in that shitstain Tucson?

Well in all fairness the police in Arizona have problems with bootleg copies of their Beach Boy tribute band getting taped whenever they play the local swap meet markets...They're cracking down and these illegal public recordings!!

I'm fine with that. I wonder if there is anyone on this forum that has even attended a D or R national convention.

Hey Arizona!

You're doing it wrong! We want you to get tougher on the Police. Not the Police get tougher on us!

Forum members probably set the record for D and D conventions (Dungeons and Dragons)

No way. You can't possibly be serious.
Is that even Constitutional?
...seriously, WTF ?
another new low during this administration and now we are creating police states.
Weakening America's democracy one bill at a time. Disgusting.

Did any of you actually read the damn article? Or did you just start complaining based on the headline.

All the bill is doing is making so the police have room to do their work without having cameras directly in their face distracting them. People can still record the police, they just have to be 30-ft back to give them room.

Holy hell.... What happened to the America that I once knew? It wasn't perfect, but at least people were once somewhat respectful...

The politicization of anything and everything under the sun for people to bitch & moan about is beyond tiring. This country has become so divisive... and it's coming from both sides.

"The legislation would require people to be at least 20 feet away while recording “law enforcement activity” or farther if officers decide that’s needed. Recording inside private buildings such as homes would be allowed from “an adjacent room or area” unless an officer objects."

lol...in other words, the cops make the call on what is allowed and they could simply say record from a quarter mile a way....for safety.....or not record at all....total safety

this is not restrained legislation

And Oklahoma will no longer count Corona virus cases.

Because pretending a problem doesn't exist makes it go away.

I've always wanted to but never saw an opening.

I’ve tried applying this logic to multiple posters here and can attest this tactic does NOT work.
It's tough. I once had an intellectual friend in the Army from Boston. He was actually a CO, conscientious objector and one of the smartest people I've ever known in my life. He believed that an insult was only an insult if you allowed it to be an insult. It works for me to an extent but just doesn't seem to get me over the hump for really egregious insults.
For the most egregious insults I find the ignore button to be a handy tool. I've only applied it on two people. The first one has been on my ignore button for years and I don't ever plan on changing that. I had thoughts about the second one and realized I had made a mistake and was missing out on some valuable posts. I edited that second ignore and have been glad ever since. Moral to the story, don't be afraid to reexamine yourself, only this time with an open mind.
