If nothing else, the Springfield Armor have been consistent during their short, two-year existence.
It’s been 10 trips to Portland to play the Maine Red Claws, and it’s been 10 unhappy bus rides back home.
That all changed Sunday, when the Armor pulled out a heart-thumping, last-second 100-97 win, leaving a sellout Portland Expo crowd of 3,045 feeling disappointed.
Fittingly it was JamesOn Curry, who has been on hand for most of the defeats here, who played the hero.
