The Springfield Armor announced today that they have reclaimed Chas McFarland after waiving him on Jan. 31st due to injury. To make room on the roster, the Armor waived Gerard Anderson.
McFarland returns to the Armor after playing in 18 games (15 starts) during the 2010-11 regular season, in which he averaged 10.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 23.4 minutes per game. McFarland was injured in the Armor's Jan. 27th game against Tulsa.
"We're excited to have Chas back with us in Springfield," Armor head coach Dee Brown said. "Chas worked hard to return before the end of the season and we think he'll give our frontcourt a boost down the stretch."
Anderson, whom the Armor acquired on Feb. 7th, played in nine games with the Armor (three starts) and averaged 4.7 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game.
The Armor return to action on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the MassMutual Center in Springfield against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
