Re:

It would be great to have guys like Armstrong and Houston in the backcourt, with younger guys like Boki, Wright, Marcus, Boone and Sean on the bench, that's a solid bench there.

The pessimist says - DA is going to take all of Marcus' minutes, and he'll never get a chance to develop.

The optimist says - For the first time ever, if Frank doesn't like the way his backup PG is playing, he can switch it up without putting Kidd back in the game. It's a realistic possiblity that Kidd could get down to 32-34 mpg, which we've all been clamoring for since the dawn of time (2001).

Wow, great point there. We actually have 2 servicable backups in DA and Marcus (once he comes back). Add those 2 to Vince, and our pg situation looks pretty damn good.

I'm sort of wondering how DA will do with the backups, tho. It seemed like last year, Marcus really clicked with Boone, Hassan, Wright, and even Moore. It might take some time for DA to get used to the team, but to think realistically, there's a slight possibility he might not exactly do good with this team.

Re:

Well I don't know how much playing time DA and Marcus will get together. Regardless if we get Houston, we've got enough SG that I don't think we'll see Marcus playing that much two (although its a very viable option).

I think Marcus clicked with those guys based on their youth. Their play seemed to be more up-tempo 'streetball-esque' play that I wouldn't see with more fundamentally-oriented veterans. Plus Marcus and Boone already had chemistry, and I would think that they could relate more easily with him than guys who were rookies when they were around 10 years old

Re:

Marcus should not have hurt himself, that's a bad move. If he is healthy, we would be so happy, but he has done that, sorry, we have to bring another older PG.
