...^^^ I think that both MLB and the MLBPA really are trying to do something and they are currently trying to remedy a bad situation that was allowed to go on for too long. Many of the players have been very vocal about their feelings on PEDs penalties and in a way, are actually doing Selig's bidding by condemning ARod and the others and are helping to lay the groundwork for future penalties.
...I agree that Braun got off easy, but in a way, I think in retrospect, that Bud did it the right way. The way I see it is that Selig cut the initial "deal" with Braun because he was one of the big names and when Braun gave up and capitulated so quickly and easily, it likely scared the others into also taking the suspension without a fight. ARod is the exception because he faces the possibility of losing everything, so he has no choice but to fight it.
...having Braun and the others already dealt with made it easier to focus on ARod and gave credibility to Bosch and the other evidence MLB has compiled...ARod is playing his final games of Baseball right now.
...also, it should be a VERY eventful weekend in Boston. A few Sox players have voiced their displeasure with ARod being allowed to still play...Lackey is one of them and he pitches Saturday...any bets on how many times ARod gets hit this weekend?...or how many times the benches empty?
...I place the over/under @ 3. ...in fact, I may create another thread to take a poll.
In the case of Lackey where does that fat slug come in as a paragon of virtue. Didn't he divorce his spouse because she had cancer. Hey there's a good team mate for you. I like many others want the game cleaned up but in a manner that is fair to all concerned.
...certainly not used to pulling for the Sox and certainly not a fan of Lackey's but I'd love to see Lackey (the mouth breather) drill ARod with his first pitch to him, be warned by the Ump and the next time up, drill ARod with the first pitch again, be ejected for doing so, and then walk off the field to a standing ovation. If this happens, I'll be standing and clapping too.
I'm with you 59, but I'd prefer any other member of the Sox staff doing that instead. I hope Lackey gets smashed in the face with a line drive - scumbag filed for divorce from his wife when she had cancer. It doesn't get any lower than that.

Well, this story is not going to make A-RAT any more friends. Can't wait for A-RAT to turn government witness and rat out everyone he knows in a scorched earth policy. Wish he had access to that initial 100 names to share with us. LMAO
...the really sad thing is, whenever the arbitrator sees all the evidence vs ARod, even if he wanted to, he can't levy an even stiffer penalty than the one Selig issued...the arbitrator can only uphold the suspension as it stands now, or reduce it.
...what a shame.
