What a total joke. He better play his ass off and then maybe I will begin to forgive him and that is a big maybe.

>Its like being stuck with your self centered sister who thinks she controls everything. Bet ya team mates don't want him.

A 40 year old guy playing his ass off looks like what? But hey, I'm a pedantic pessimist's puppet predicting 80 wins.
...lol...I spit out my lasagne when I read that.

The bottom line is that if he plays and hits homers the fans will cheer. Just the way it goes.
I apologize if I sound naive or stupid but, what the hell do you want the guy to say or do, commit suicide, play for free, please curse at me loudly every time I'm at bat......?
SUICIDE, what a novel concept, will someone please load the gun for him....?
...lol..didn't he try to sell that finger on EBAY?

and not one bidder either?
Honestly, I don't think A-Roid will see but a couple million of that contract, not when he can't make it out of ST. Pull down the Insurance Contract, and let him sell pencils and apples, at Yankee Stadium, OUTSIDE the entrances. On 2nd thought no to the apples, the non-trustworthy bastard, would poison them, that's how he really feels about Yank Fans.
I'll be in the minority. I will never cheer him on.....no matter.
How does that put in in the minority? I don't many will be cheering him on.
Other than protagonist BBB, I think everyone is united in disgust.

I will remain with you Lion, in the minority, hopefully 59, and myself won't make a majority. Rick where are you at, in or out, or any which way but loose?
in response to when he wins games and the fans will cheer him and forgetHow does that put in in the minority? I don't many will be cheering him on.

Actually he's 39 yrs old and is coming off a year of "rest".
Yes yes I know about his hips..... If he can run without pain, and, if,perhaps his body can withstand part time DH duty, I think he can chip in with acceptable production.
And " we" can hate him all we want to- but playing hard was NEVER a problem with him.
You ARE familiar with the sh!tass numbers put up by Yankee DHs last year.
We'll see how it plays out, and no, I'm not expecting him to make the all-star team.
lol

...if you really wanna split hairs, ARod is closer to 40 than he is to 39. And this "rest" that you point to can also be look upon as time away from the game. He was a strike out machine when he last played the game in 2013 and you don't improve on that by simply "resting" for 17 freaking months.
...and technically he's been "resting" since 2010.
...but yeah, wave those pinstriped pom poms.
He doesn't turn 40 yrs old until midway through the season....
...one more time, and try to keep up...you're the one you opened up a can of dumbass by trying to correct someone who mentioned ARod was "40"...you said, "Oh no, he's only 39"... well, like I said he's "closer to 40 than 39" and he'll be even closer by opening day. Can you dispute this or not?...n/m, no need to embarrass yourself further.
Yeah, I'll waive my pom poms ...unlike you who has already answered all the "question marks" in the negative.
Good for you.
...actually, no, no I didn't, but thanx for playing.
Did you pick KC to win the A.L. pennant last year....in February lol.
Expected Billy Beane's A's last year to win 8 less games than the previous year after spending more money?
I'm sure you were ahead of the curve picking Boston to finish in last place after winning the WS the previous year.
Yep, you've got it all figured out. lol
...uhh, no, I didn't, did you?...I don't give 2 shits about other teams...why would I?...and please, stop acting as if you haven't been acting like you've "got it all figured out"...hypocritical much?
