"Family business"

Mark Feinsand, NY Daily News June, 17,2015

MIAMI — Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have called a timeout when it comes to Alex Rodriguez’s potential grievance against the Yankees regarding the Bombers’ refusal to pay his $6 million home run bonus.

According to the Associated Press, the two sides stopped the clock on the deadline for A-Rod to file his grievance, which was originally supposed to be done within 45 days of his milestone — in this case, tying Willie Mays with his 660th home run. A-Rod hit that home run on May 1.

MLB and the union said Tuesday that the deadline is on hold for as long as the Yankees and A-Rod agree. “All that stuff is family business and will be handled privately,” A-Rod said Sunday when asked about the situation.

The Yankees have remained firm in their position not to pay the bonus, claiming A-Rod’s admission to using steroids and his subsequent year-long suspension from baseball has made the accomplishments unmarketable.

At least they got this one right.
Why create more animosity and friction while Arod is in his "comeback" season?

Just donate the damn $6M to charity of Alex's choosing and end this bullshit.

The man should be grateful that he was permitted the opportunity to return. No one gives a damn about his "achievements" because hey are obviously tainted.

No ARod's choosing.....should go towards the international campaign to keep kids off of PEDs.
