Disagree.

Giannis is MVP level talent. Dame is a lower-level All-Star. Optimizing Giannis should be the priority.

Having Giannis bring the ball up was dumb. It wasn't optimizing him. It was stroking his ego.

Giannis didn't seem to want to give up the ball, and often Dame was playing off ball. It was just flat out stupid.

Dame is one the best on-ball point guards in the league. Giannis should have been the one to change, not Dame.

I think with the way Giannis plays it’s harder to integrate him into the offense later in the shot clock. He’s not really a stand down in the post and call for the ball type player. He does better when he’s feeling out the game

Then it's stupid to put a guard like Dame next to him. They should have just kept Jrue since he's a better defender and that's all Giannis will allow his teammates to do.

Looks like it’s the Celtics year. Giannis and Dame hurt, Heat with no Butler. Knicks with no Randle, Robinson and Brunson with Broken hand. Now Halliburton is hurt, Denver is eliminated. It’s the Celtics year

oh I agree. They would have had a better chance to win it all had they kept course.

Most teams have their best player bring the ball up most of the time.

Its not stroking ego - its keeping the ball in the best player's hands

Should Dallas take the ball out of Luka's hands?
Lakers / LeBron?
Suns / Durant?
TWolves / Edwards?
Nuggets/ Jokic?

There's lots of examples. I think your opinion of Dame is creating a massive bias here

100% agree that Bucks should have kept Holiday.

But that doesn't matter at this point.

However, keeping Holiday is not maximizing Giannis as a player. Dame is the better guard to get more out of Giannis. But if Giannis isn't willing to do that... it's kind of pointless.

I have a tendency to agree with this.

Dame - 35% three point shooter
Luka - 38% three point shooter
LeBron - 41% three point shooter
Durant - 41% three point shooter
Edwards - 36% three point shooter
Jokic - 36% three point shooter

Giannis - 27% three point shooter

It's dumb to have him bring the ball up the floor because

A) He's not the distributor that Dame is. Not even close.

B) He isn't a threat to shoot the ball beyond the arc.

All of the players, except for maybe Durant and Edwards, that you listed above are distributors. They have great court vision. Dame is one of the best pick and roll point guards in the league.

Dame - 7 assists per game / 2 turnovers per game
Luka - 9.8 assists per game / 4 turnovers per game
LeBron - 8.3 assists per game / 3.5 turnovers per game
Durant - 5.0 assists per game / 3.3 turnovers per game
Edwards - 5.0 assists per game / 3.1 turnovers per game
Jokic - 9 assists per game / 3 turnovers per game.

Giannis - 6.5 assists per game / 3.4 turnovers per game

So looking at that, Dame has a 3.5 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. Giannis is at 1.9 assist to turnover ratio. Dame should be handling the ball. He's a bigger threat from deep. He's better at running an offense. It makes no sense to have Giannis bring the ball up the floor regularly.

Mavs trying to make it a respectable blowout, down 12 at the half.

Minnesota could go down 0-2 at home if they don't get their shit together.

Coach Kidd wants to challenge. He thinks the refs need glasses.

2nd rounder Jaden Hardy super excited, played big minutes in WCF
