Embiid on Harden: A lot of people expect him to be Houston James Harden but that’s not what he is anymore.

yikes!!!
Between Embiid and Rivers candidly throwing everyone under the bus at every opportunity and Morey doing the same behind the scenes, the fanbase trashing everyone, that franchise is toxic

Here’s something that’s interesting:

Whenever the Blazers lose/fail whatever you want to call it, the media always says “Get Dame out of Portland”.

Why doesn’t the media do the same with Embiid - who arguably has had better teams around him. “Get Embiid out of Philly”?
That's a really good point. It's because people hate Portland. I remember how many media members were upset that Oden and Durant were going to Portland and Seattle.

James Harden quit on 2 teams in one season. Would you pay that guy more money?
I honestly don't see why any team would give him money this summer. He's washed up. I'd take Melo over him. At least he competes and can shoot.

Yeah Philly is a total different type of area. It's as Hot & Cold as you get.

Embiid cant win in Philly. To be fair his feelers were hurt when Jokic got MVP. He gave up at that point, smh.

Its utter bullshit if Barkley doesnt say "Embiid should ask for a trade". At least Dame got to the conference finals without a former MVP

Because Portland is a small city and Philly isn’t

You may have answered your own question there.
"Embiid- who arguably has had better teams around him"..
Philly has been mentioned as a "title contender" whereas, Portland has not.
(@AldoTrapani -has zero to do with the size of the city)
Perhaps now, media will begin to realize Philly (like Portland) is not a serious title contender, and the sympathy calls ('cos that's what they are) to "Get Joel Outta Philly" could begin.

so let's be clear, the Blazers have done more than Philly although for some reason the latter are a "championship roster"? The Blazers aren't as bad as 90% of yhe poster here claim they are. Dame > Embiid. Dame did more with less and maybe Embiid needs to tale a long look in the mirror. He LOVES to throw guys under the bus , clearly. I say Embiid wants an MVP more than a ring! He gave up once Jokic got the nod.

Damian Lillard has made the WCF with an “arguably” worse team in the better conference.

Embiid, in the worst conference (prior to this year), on a “perennial title contending team” hasnt been to the ECF and if he has - it’s not consistent.

So I don’t think I answered my question. If anything, my question holds even more weight why the team that, as a “true contender” continually flames out and hasn’t been as far as the “non contending” Blazers.

I apologize.
I thought you were asking why the media doesn't go all "Get Embiid outta Philly" like they do with Dame.
I still think they will, now that Philly can't be taken seriously any longer, and I feel, Embiid has become a more "sympathetic character" than before.
Maybe that's why.
"People" have always liked Dame, maybe now "they" will like Joel??
(EDIT) I thought Embiid was the MVP, and he won me over in this series by trying to carry a dead weight team all by his broken self)

How on earth can you stop Giannis??? His FT shooting is now solid. You give him an inch of space and its 2.

prime Steve Blake could do it
I was looking up old clips of Steve Blake on YouTube. I think he was underappreciated in Portland. He wasn't an All Star but he was a very good PG who could pass, defend, and shoot.

Steve with somebody you can count on night in a night out.

Celtics is the better team but the Bucks has the heart of a Champion.
