This is a situation where two guys were talking shit, Green got in his face, Poole shoved him, and then Green threw a punch. We don't know what was said. We don't know how long these tensions were building. We don't have context at all. Just a slice of the relationship between these two players.

At any point, either of these guys could have defused the situation all the way up to the punch, but they chose to keep escalating.

Poole was backing up when Green attacked. That’s not escalating.

Ok. And CJ ended up being a starting level player. So we had two on that ENTIRE team that was starting level. CJ did have a good playoff series. It was not outrageous to be unsure how he would do. Remember when Jeremy Lin exploded onto the scene for a short time?

Look at the rest of the players on that team. Complete trash and shows how impressive Dame. We wasted that season but not getting him help.

He did not injure himself in that training camp. We are talking about 2015, before the season started. CJ was healthy and not coming off an injury. HE PLAYED IN THE 2015 PLAYOFFS.

CJ was obviously a starter-level player to anyone who knew the game. HCP overreacts to famous names. Reminds me of when he thought the 2010-11 Heat would go 75-7. Anyone knows the game, knew that wasn’t happening. And he picked 15-16 Blazers to win only 23 games. I picked us to win 55. He said his pick would be closer. I bet him I would be closer and I won the bet handily. We all know what happened next.

Okay I looked it up. You are correct it was his rookie seasons that he dealt with the Jones fracture. My mistake.

Should we go back and start sharing some takes you have had? HCP knows the game. Stop.
 
Funny thing is….after the infamous #23Win prediction debacle….I nailed it exactly the next season and nobody brings that up FAMS. The hate is strong with this batch of nerds. I forget sometimes how many experts are on here.
This guy is just dead set on bringing down @THE HCP. I think just a couple nights ago he was talking about how much more amazing and deep OUR bench was compared to the Clippers. #SIGH
 
Looks like Noah Vonleh will get a spot on the Celtics...the guy had a double double with 25 rebounds his last game....good to see. Jake Layman is on the Celtics preseason roster too Vonleh played for the Shanghai Sharks, (Yao Ming's) team and said his shot really came around playing there. Both Noah and Jake are from the Boston area

The thing is what you see as realistic many others here see as being negative. Most fans here hope for a good season from the Blazers, and maybe it's unrealistic on the other side of the spectrum, but hardcore fans tend to aim high in their hopes.

Maybe you are right. Maybe it won't be a good season for the Blazers. Maybe they will miss the playoffs. Who knows. But, it seems better to root for and predict success, then to openly predict and continuously espouse a negative outcome. It also seems unnecessary to criticize dreamful, outcomes adopted by others, even if they might be out of reach.

You just told me it’s better to predict success. Why? So I can get mad and scream and cuss on here every night we lose to a more talented team? Like 80% of this place. I[‘ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You can keep walking out to the garage thinking when it opens up there will be a Ferrari in there, but you are setting yourself up for a BIG letdown when you see it’s a KIA. People keep giving me shit because I am claiming this roster is only talented enough for the 10th spot in the west. I’m just explaining myself. I just had a member on here tell me that it’s better to predict that we are going to be better than I think we are…. Had to reply.
