He played in 6 pre season games with the Rockets and was then cut. So I guess it's his second shot in the league, first on a regular season roster.

Honestly, what is fair value for Dirk at this point? He played 49 games this season, and has averaged 14 and 7. Certainly still respectable numbers, but for an aging big, you're not going to get much of a return.

Are you really saying two players (Harden and Westbrook) represent the league as a whole? Because the opposite is true.

League average 2016-17 = 14.0 TOV per game (12.8% per possession)
League Average 1978-79 = 19.8 TOV per game (16.0% per possession)
