Remember when people were trashing the Kings for the Boogie trade?

They got a nice young player and a 1st for a guy no one wanted cause his agent told every team not to trade for him. Heild and the 10th pick is a pretty good return for that
Seriously. Plenty of people were so sure hield was a bust around here. Dude is in his first year. He has done quite well after being traded to sacramento for a rookie. Looking like a better trade for the kings than many thought. We didn't have a player of hields value to deal for boogie no matter how hard people tried to argue as such.

Unless you wanted to deal mccollum or lillard of course.

Feel for heat fans. They had some huge wins down the stretch, win their last game, and miss out on the playoffs because Indiana and Chicago play teams who are resting all their players.

Jake found his shot just in time for the POs!!

I'm with you. It really sucks. Why the fuck did the Nets rest Brook Lopez?

Memphis and Cleveland went down the tubes this year, so our picks are looking great. Unlike the playoff seeding, when tied the pick order is decided by random draw. Anyone know when this will take place?

Cleveland Pick: 26th, 25th, or 24th. (was 27th much of the year)
Memphis Pick: 20th or 19th (was 20th for a long time)

Yeah, our CLE pick could really climb the ladder!

I wonder if Tim Connelly checks the Grizzlies box scores and cries himself to sleep every night.

I believe friday.
Also I thought the Cavs pick could be 23 if Clippers win

Magic fire their GM and asst GM 12 hrs after the season ends. Wonder if Neil gets an offer given how much he's taken advantage of Hennigan (Moe and Napes for 2 heavily protected 2nd round picks).

I'd give up Neil for a few future first round picks like what BOS did with Doc.

Does Orlando have a lot of valet parking?

BOS got 1 future first from the Clippers. I don't think a team would ever give up more then a 1st and a 2nd. Definitely not 2 firsts imo.

ORL is nice but seems low on Neil's list. LA or NY sure.

Can you imagine if Olshey leaves before the draft? Paul Allen with 3 first round draft picks?

Any player that says they like Martell Webster is getting drafted.

I don't watch SC anymore, and don't recall seeing this posted here. It just came up on my youtube recommended feed today.

Says that Nurkic has "been a hand and glove fit"

At the time we acquired the CLE pick (January 6th), it would have been the 28th pick. CLE only trailed GSW and SAS in the standings at the time.

At the time we acquired the MEM pick from DEN (February 13), it would have been the 22nd pick.

So, both picks are guaranteed to move up at least two spots from where they were when we acquired them. The MEM pick could potentially move up 3 spots and the CLE pick could move up as many as 5 spots.

So you're saying Neil is a genius ?

Wait tho, wasn't CLE pick acquired January 6th of last year ? It was the Verejao thing right ?

No, we actually swapped their picks. I think we originally had their pick for 2018, so we swapped them for their 2017 pick.

This is correct. We originally acquired CLE's 2018 first round pick to take Varejao's contract off their books last year. On January of this year, we swapped the 2018 pick back to CLE for their 2017 first round pick.

Due to the depth of this draft, it was viewed as a shrewd move at the time. Given how much CLE has fallen off, it's looking even better now.

I wonder if Plumlee will even sign with Denver; they could end up with nothing from that trade. Their GM describes him as their third or fourth big. Plumlee strikes me as the kind of guy who would go to a situation where he could start if possible over wherever he could get the most money.

'Also, the plan is to sign center Mason Plumlee to a new contract. Plumlee came to the Nuggets in a trade deadline deal with Portland.

“Mase brought a lot of what we thought he would bring – intensity, a vertical threat at the rim,” Connelly said. “An athletic big. A very good passer. It’s not an easy transition going from a starter to the third or fourth big. … When we traded for him, we traded for him for the purpose of bringing him back. Barring something unforeseen or some dramatic shift, we’re pretty excited to talk to his representatives this summer and figure something out.” '
