Spurs started to match Memphis' physicality in that 3rd quarter.
Just not sure if they'll do it in the 4th.
Vince Carter is playing amazingly for a 40 year old.

Shit, I'd give Vince Carter a 2 year deal. He's playing great defense and can shoot now.

Wow, Vince Carter's jaw got in the way of Manu's elbow.
Foul on Carter.

You included the likelihood of winning a title in OKC, alongside his happiness playing with RW, as proof that Durant left because of RW. And your response is to fall back on and/or semantics? Weak.

No it's not. They had the talent to win, but they would never win BECAUSE OF WESTBROOK and his ball hogging, hero ball style of play that constantly froze Durant out in the 4th quarter of every important playoff game. That goes all the way back to Westbrook's 2nd season in OKC and was a constant theme every year after that. Durant wanted to win, which meant more ball movement and a more team oriented style of play. He was never going to get that with Westbrook, who is all about his own stats.

That team made the NBA finals when Durant and Westbrook were 23 and Harden and Ibaka were 22 and never made it back to the finals. They should have been a fucking dynasty. Two reasons they weren't: owners who were inexplicably cheap at exactly the wrong time and Russell Westbrook's hero ball in the playoffs. That team never reached it's full potential and Durant realized it never would as long as Westbrook was dominating the ball in the 4th quarter of any, and every, close playoff game.

Yikes, Great defense by the guy guarding Leonard. But he leaks out instead of staying to rebound.
Doubtful Tony Allen would have made that mistake.
That mistake basically clinched the series for San Antonio.

If Olshey wants PG, he needs to get his supposed agent buddies, and anyone else he knows, to pimp and pump this PG will only sign with the Lakers narrative and drive down his value around the league. If the Blazers could through some miracle add PG to Dame/CJ/Nurk I have a hard time believing he wouldn't stick around rather than go play for the worst Lakers team in .... ever? Paying for the Big 4 though....yeah....

You have a difficult time separating your opinion from the proof you were allegedly providing that Durant didn't want to play with Westbrook.

I never claimed to prove anything. In fact, I prefaced my previous comments by stating that there was no smoking gun, that no one was going to risk their job by going on record that Durant left OKC because of Westbrook.

Did you read the article I linked? Did you do a google search on why did Kevin Durant leave OKC? There are plenty of articles that talk about the clash in styles and goals between KD and Russ, but all of the sources are unnamed. Lots and lots of articles, but no irrefutable proof of anything. All we really know for sure is that Durant left OKC and he wouldn't have left, and left money on the table, if he was happy with the situation there.

So, please feel free to ignore everything I wrote. It's evidence, but it's not proof. Can you prove Durant didn't leave OKC because of Westbrook? No, you can't, and I'm not going to ask you to, because it would be pointless. Just as pointless as asking me to prove he did.

How many teams in NBA history have had a 2-0 lead in the series and then lost the next 4 to be out of the playoffs?

Off the top of my head...

16 Clippers
77 Sixers
12 Spurs (and Spurs had won 20 straight!)
06 Mavericks in NBA Finals (nearly went up 3-0)
07 Pistons because of LeBron
04 Spurs

They always put this one guy with Hubie Brown, he must be the only one who can announce along side him without falling asleep?

Yeah, I really went out on a limb there...

Boob-No-More said: They already lost Durant to free agency because of Westbrook.

yuyuza1 said: Where is the proof for this? You can just as easily say we lost Aldridge to free agency because of Dame. Man, your level of hatred for Russ is really unfounded. He's a polarizing figure, but he will also win MVP this season. He's not Ricky Davis or Andray Blatche in terms of stat chasers.

Yes, I know exactly what was said and how I responded. I never claimed to PROVE anything. He's the first two sentences of my first post on the topic:

Proof, you mean like a smoking gun? Durant isn't stupid enough to publicly say he left OKC because Russ is a selfish ballhog who cares more about his own stats than winning.

I offered my opinion and evidence to support that opinion. You disagree. Fine, post your opinion and the evidence that supports it. It won't PROVE anything, or be any more, or less, valid than my opinion, but it might make you feel better.

I also posted a link to an article from ESPN titled Saturday Shows Why Kevin Durant Left Russell Westbrook. Notice the title is why Durant left Westbrook, not why Durant left OKC. I did not write the article. Apparently I'm not the only Westbrook "hater".
