It is amazing how small Boban makes Jordan look - and Jordan is a huge human being.

My thoughts exactly. It reminds me of the time back in the day when we had court side seats under the basket at the Memorial Coliseum and we were playing the Pacers. Duck was our starting center and Rik Smits was the Indiana starter. I was used to standing next to Duck, and he made me feel small. In the first quarter, Smits lit up Duck by simply posting him up, turning and shooting over him like he wasn't even there. I told to my wife is must suck to be 7' tall and feel like you're too short to do your job.

Man, I know I could kick your ass!

I've never been whooped in a 1 on 1 (been jumped) and I've fought some big guys. One was well over 280 at the time and he thought he should try to wrestle me. He didn't realize how quick the lightning was.

Hey @KingSpeed, I'm pretty sure this guy can palm a basketball from the top:

Look at how small Duncan's fist looks next to Boban's hands.

I love these videos.

If I could pick one guy to hangout with off the court that's on the team (this will surprise yall), it'd be Aminu. Ran into someone that works at the agency that represents Aminu in Vegas last summer. Dude had nothing but great things to say about him. Dude seems like one of the chillest and humblest players in the NBA. Dude drives me crazy sometimes but that's just basketball.

I saw him coming out of the tunnel and he is a MASSIVE human being.

My impression from the March 18 game:

During the game, I kept comparing him to Meyers Leonard. Boban is 2-3 inches taller (gotta be 7-4, not 7-3), and much wider than Leonard (barrel-chested, though arm muscles are the same). His height makes up for lumbering lack of quickness, at least while in the paint.

I think he's 7-5, not 7-3 as listed.

So are we supposed to root for the Jazz to win or lose? What is the best way of avoiding playing them in the first round and being the 3 seed?

Utah winning right?

You just described most people that are high all the time.

Is Utah playing Villanova or Michigan?

They’re playing the Lakers in Utah. Doubt that rooting will have much impact on the outcome, but I think them winning and ending up in the 5th seed is our best bet to avoid them in the first round. They scare me.

What reason would they have to list him shorter than his actual height? I can see listing shorter players as taller but why the other way around.

Losing

The question should be the opposite--why overlist a player. It's like pricing something at 99 cents instead of a dollar.

John Wooden underlisted his players, to lower expectations of the opposition. Bill Walton was as tall as 7-1 Chamberlain, but wanted to be listed as 6-11 because he thought that that's the borderline between barely ordinary and freak, in the eyes of non-fans.
