yet there wasn't even a foul during the game.

The NBA HQ should be able to call flagrant fouls after the fact during the game with video evidence. Or at least what they think are flagrant 2 fouls.
they made his trip a flagrant 2

I imagine that every GM in the league is embarrassed by how the stack up against Presti.
And the hilarious thing is how many people have hated on Presti. When they sucked and he tore the team down so many people hated on him.

So what does that mean? His fine went up? He avoided the only real penalty for the upgrade, which is being kicked out of the game.
Too late now. Or am I missing something?

I believe flagrant fouls are accumulative in the nba - so once you cross a threshold, you are automatically suspended. So, there is a small added side-effect.

Flagrant fouls committed during the NBA Play-In Tournament do not count toward the accumulation of points for suspensions in the playoffs. The Play-In tournament is considered separate from the playoffs, so flagrant points reset to zero for the postseason, preventing play-in fouls from triggering a playoff suspension. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Reset Mechanism: Flagrant foul points for players disappear, or "reset," after the play-in games, similar to how regular-season stats do not carry into the playoffs.

so, his playoff FF counter is now at 2. But that's assuming that the Play-in is part of the playoffs. I'm not sure it is

Former NBA player and coach Damon Jones has requested to change his plea to guilty after he was charged with wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering, and accused of sharing and selling insider information about undisclosed details of NBA games on numerous occasions.

Jones' request was noted in a court filing on April 16, obtained by USA TODAY Sports, and the in-person change-of-plea hearing is set for April 28 at 11 a.m. ET.

Jones, who played 11 NBA seasons for 10 teams from 1999 to 2009, is also accused of using his notoriety to get people to poker games rigged by organized crime figures in order to steal money from them, sometimes using technology, including poker chip trays with hidden cameras, and rigged shuffling machines with the ability to read the cards in the deck

weren't Jones and Billups pretty good friends?

I would think this is not good news for Chauncey. It's quite possible that part of the Jones plea is providing testimony against Billups. This seems to be the way the feds operate:

don't know if this was posted elsewhere, but this is a really good interview with Toumani, Donovan and Deni

Chauncey will cop a plea also. It’s the way the Feds work.
Definitely the most likely outcome.

I just keep wondering why it hasn't happened yet. I worry for Chauncey that the Feds have flipped all of the peopel already taking pleas against Chauncey because he's the biggest name and they want to make an example of him. Making examples of high profile people caught committing crimes is also right out of the Fed playbook.

Love to see the Hornets getting stomped by the Magic. Only because they got to this game by LaMelo taking out Bam in their previous game.

Still don't understand why LaMelo is active for this game. The league reviewed the play and called it a Flagrant 2... well if they missed a flagrant 2 that results in ejection, shouldn't they have suspended him.

I guess the Magic are making it a moot point.

Jalen Green is 24
KD is 37

I thought it was a stupid trade at the time, and nothing has changed my mind.
