In terms of competitiveness, this game was very similar to game 7 of the 2016 Finals when the Lebrons finally won it. Notice how in both games, the Warriors were basically panicking in the last few seconds of the game to get a shot off (credit to the opposition's defense). Hell, you can hear the fans were panicking.

Speaking of fans, there had to be more Rockets fans than I thought because you could definitely hear some loud cheers. However, some of the cheers could've been from the players.
 
I’ve never been a Lebron fan really, always respected his “greatness”, as a basketball player.

This post season run has been pretty freaking incredible though, he’s legitimately in the conversation for GOAT (I still would put him 3rd), but so much about him is pretty awesome. I don’t usually agree with his politics, but I respect how willing he is to talk and point out things he believes are issues.
He may lose to this Celtics team and doesn’t have a great chance of beating Houston or GS if he gets to the finals, but he is a great basketballl player and from all appearances a great dude off the court too. Before anyone reminds me Lebron doesn’t care about my opinion, I know he doesn’t, but I have an awful lot of respect for him off and on the court been fun watching his career.

I agree with all of this... it pains me to say it because I grew up watching Jordan, but LeBron is now in the conversation for greatest all time IMO... kinda the Tom Brady to Joe Montana thing... he is in the finals pretty much every year... also a great role model, even tho I disagree with his politics.

He’s so fun to watch too, he plays the game both athletically and mentally, you don’t usually see him make the same mistake very often. He spent the first few years of his career as basically a great athlete that was a basketball player, and has turned himself into a great athlete and a great basketball player, every weakness he’s had he’s figured it out. Shows how hard he works.

Yeah, his work ethic is unmatched... same with his mental toughness... to have all that pressure to be great since high school... he is pretty incredible
 
The Celtics are a game away from reaching the Finals for the first time since they lost to the Lakers. However, I see them getting blown out in the first few minutes of the game and a couple of key players will be in early foul trouble.
 
I just don’t think the Cavs will win in Boston. I’m okay with that.
 
It is amazing to me how vastly differently each of these teams play at home vs on the road. I understand home court advantage; I understand that role players are more comfortable in a home environment. But this great a divergence? Inexplicable to me for professionals.

This is why I get annoyed at the attitude of SPAM - "it's only PA's $$$, why should anyone care?" Answer:
because we lose valuable guys for nothing. To me, losing Davis would be a tangible cost of the Leonard
and ET contracts.
 
Boston potentially making the finals without 2 of their 3 highest paid players is annoying.

I'm jealous. When do we get our shot at good fortune?

As a Blazer fan I hate to admit this, but that Boston team is primed to be good for a while, look at all the draft picks and assets Ainge has right now, and they're proving w/o Hayward and Kyrie they can still be really good. If they get them back or use them as trade chips, they may be setting themselves up to win a few more rings, and Boston doesn't need any more rings...

We lost THREE potential Hall of Famers (Oden, Roy, Aldridge) for NOTHING and yet we bounced back pretty fast, getting Dame and CJ, and have stayed competitive. Impressive.

EXACTLY. They TRADED their two for sure HOFers. They got a bunch of picks back and that is how they have built this team. We got NOTHING back for Roy, Oden, and Aldridge. Nothing

Why can't they be a title contender with the right pieces around them? They are 2 of the very best in the world at their positions. They aren't the problem. And they aren't redundant. You need TWO great guards.

Boston was highly rewarded for 2 over the hill future hall of farers that helped rebuild Boston. Without the Nets stupidity it would have been tougher for Boston

Boston is one win away from the finals.

We got swept in the first round two years in a row.

I think he meant had they of been healthy they had the potential to be HoFers.
We didn’t see enough healthy Oden, but If Roy has a long career he might’ve got there.

I said after game one that Boston will need to win 1 road game. That they do not want to face LBJ in a game 7 scenario. I still see it that way. This series is going as predicted IMO. Cleveland will win game 6 and the young Celtics will choke in game 7. Hope I am wrong.

Yeah, Lebron is one of those guys I wouldn’t bet against in game 7. Not that he never loses or whatever but if it goes to 7 he’s more than likely going to put on a show.
