Jazz have blown a 23 point lead at home. Game tied with Suns right now.

Ugh. Jazz announcers acting like they've never seen a reverse dunk before.

That was the least talented 60 point game in NBA history. There wasn't one impressive bucket. All layins and wide open 3s. Give CJ the same shots and he could score 60 too.
Give CJ the same shots and I bet you change your tone about it being impressive or not.

Porzingis might be one of my favorite non-Blazers in the league.

I'd give up our whole team - Dame to get him.

Dude has "it." He's a fucking badass.

Can't believe the Knicks fell ass backwards into that guy.

I thought every knick fan in the world booed when he got picked cause they had a chance at someone else, I wouldn't really consider that falling into a guy.

Nerlens Noel was back in Philly's line-up last night. Right on time for a 15th december trade?

Too bad we can't trade Crabbe until January 15th.

BNM
Unless he consents to it?
NVM. He can't be traded until Jan 15 even if he consents to it. He has a no-trade clause until July, 2017.

Neither Moe nor Meyers can be moved until Jan 15.

ET and Ezeli can be moved from Dec 15 onwards.

God, we have 0 trade chips. What semblance of value can we muster for a combo of Aminu/Davis/Plums/Noah/2 first rounders?

Teams don't usually trade until right before the deadline anyways. That isn't until early February. You VERY rarely see a trade in December. It can and has happened of course but it is not all that common at all.

Gets at the heart of the front office's whole acquiring assets strategy doesnt it?

We can trade them all anywhere come July.

Im glad youre that optimistic....but by july 2017 we wont have plumlee or one of those 1st rounders so we gotta make a decision before then dont we? And with the way these scrubs are playing we couldnt consolidate them into 2nd rounders let alone a difference maker. I am wholly disillusioned with this roster and NO and I resent how reactionary they are making me look about the whole thing. It's like finding out you got into your dream school only to have them call you a week before you show up for classes to tell you it was a mistake, you didnt get in, dont show up.

I spelled it all out in my The Great Who can be Traded When Thread, but it seems to bear repeating here:

OK, I finally found the definitive source for who can be traded when (along with a lot of other great info on team salaries, drafts pick - including swaps, pick we owe other teams and picks other teams owe us, dates contracts become guaranteed, qualifying offer dates, etc.).

It's the BasketballInsiders Salary Page for the Blazers.

Most relevant to this discussion:
  • 12/15/16 — No-trade restrictions lift on Festus Ezeli, Tim Quarterman and Evan Turner.
  • 1/10/17 — Tim Quarterman’s $543,471 guarantees for 2016-17.
  • 1/15/17 — No-trade restrictions lift on Allen Crabbe, Mo Harkless and Meyers Leonard.
  • 1/27/16 — No-trade restriction lifts on C.J. McCollum.
I'd pretty much figured out the trade restriction dates for Ezeli, Turner, Crabbe, Harkless and Leonard, but this is the first place I've seen the trade restriction date listed for C.J. Could be relative with all the C.J. for Cousins discussions flying around this board.

Here's some future dates of note:
  • 6/30/17 — Qualifying offer deadline for Mason Plumlee.
  • 6/30/17 — Festus Ezeli’s $7,733,000 guarantees for 2017/18.
  • 7/25/17 — Pat Connaughton’s $1.0 million guarantees for 2017-18.
  • 10/31/17 — Extension deadlines for Noah Vonleh and Shabazz Napier.
  • 1/10/18 — Tim Quarterman’s $905,249 guarantees for 2017-18.
  • 6/30/18 — Qualifying offer deadlines for Noah Vonleh, Shabazz Napier, Tim Quarterman and Pat Connaughton.
  • 6/30/18 — Jake Layman’s $1,050,262 guarantees for 2018-19.
  • 6/29/19 — Estimated player option deadline for Allen Crabbe.
  • 6/30/19 — Qualifying offer deadline for Jake Layman.
And, here's all the info on our pending pick swaps:

Pick Swaps
  • 2017 — Owe second-rounder to Houston Rockets (Thomas Robinson).
  • 2018 — Owed first-rounder (top-10 protected through 2019, if not conveyed, converts to lower second-rounder of Los Angeles Lakers/Minnesota Timberwolves, and a 2021 Cleveland Cavaliers second-rounder) from Cavaliers (Anderson Varejao).
  • 2018 — Sacramento Kings have the right to swap second rounders (Tyreke Evans/Robin Lopez).
  • 2019 — Owed higher of Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers second-rounders from Cleveland Cavaliers (Brendan Haywood).
  • 2019 — Owe second-rounder to Orlando Magic (Jake Layman).
  • 2020 — Owe second-rounder (top-55 protected) to Cleveland Cavaliers (Mo Harkless, Joe Harris).
  • 2021 — Owed second-rounder from Miami HEAT (Brian Roberts).
BasketballInsiders has similar pages for all NBA teams. So, it makes it easy for all armchair GMs to check the availability dates of their favorite trade targets.

Matthews has 23 points on 9/11 shooting through three quarters. Can we get him back?

Just for tonight, then we ship him back to DAL where he can continue to shoot .381 FG% for the season.

So, you want to start him in place of C.J., or bring him off the bench to take Crabbe's minutes? Do you think Wes would be cool with the demotion after he worked so hard to come back from his injury?

Anyone watching the bulls vs wolves game on TNT?

Wes is playing really well these days and I'll bet you could trade Crabbe for him...both about the same contracts..Crabbe is younger..it's possible but I doubt Wes or the Blazers would do it
