We really had nothing better than that to offer for Oubre... ?

Beating the offer for Oubre was not the problem.

He will be a RFA at the end of the season. His new contract would push the Blazers very deep into the luxury tax. Or, he would be a short term rental. Neither option is attractive.

Just got home from Prov Hospital after having Kidney stone surgery . Went this am 3am, her had pain that bad before, one 1 7.6mm and the other 7.2mm. Have a 10' stent I have to carry for 7 days.
Thane goodness for dilaton.
Don't be a pansy. I've passed four kidney stones without any pain killer whatsoever. Passed one while I was in the emergency room of St. Vincent hospital. On the way to the hospital, the pain was so bad that my wife had to stop the car so I could lean out and puke. The picture they took showed I passed it right there in the E-room.
Passed another while driving up to Seattle from Portland.
Passed a third while in my apartment in Seattle late at night. A hot bath helped some but my neighbors must have wondered what all the moaning was about. I could have gripped my wife's hand but she was getting vested at her job in Beaverton so weekdays we were apart.
Passed a fourth while in a building code class at PCC. Had to move from the front of the class where I usually sat to the very last row in the back of the class so no one could see my agonized face nor hear my whimpering.
Collected a sample of one of my passed kidney stones when I urinated at work. Had a special container with a filter to catch it. Looked like a little rock from hell with a bunch of what appeared to be barbs sticking out all over.
For those of you who've never passed a stone, thank your God Damned lucky stars! They hurt like a son of a bitch.
Pardon my French and don't tell my wife 'cause she forbids me from swearing. I'm gonna speak a kidney stone hex on anyone who tells my wife about my language.

wow...Ive passed several over the last 2 months on my own, but the two lava rocks that were 7mm plus were wedged/stuck against each other at the point where the ureter connects going to the bladder.
The stent will be taken out next Wednesday.

Harry Giles with his 3rd straight DNP tonight and 9th for the season. Marvin Bagley didn't even play tonight due to injury and Giles still couldn't get off the bench. Some posters not only said they would take our two picks back over Zach Collins but would even take Justin Jackson and Giles instead of him. Still feel that way?

So looks like we won't play the Kings next week with some of their best players. Is it me, or does that happen a lot to us. Thinks that helps us out or no?

Well. No. Hindsight sure is great. Probably shouldve Taken Jordan, KD or Giannis too. You hit on some and you miss on some. Looks like my draft record wouldve been pretty close to the Blazers GM’s...
I thought Giles was going to be a solid player, turns out I was probably wrong.

To be fair it is still early. He still could be...

Pacers have quietly won 7 games in a row and only have one more loss than Toronto. We beat them, by the way.

Austin Rivers parts ways with Suns and is an unrestricted free agent

Austin Rivers is expected to finalize a deal with the Memphis Grizzlies once bought out by the Phoenix Suns, per league sources on @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium.

I can't believe how much better Kuzma and John Collins are than Zach.

This post won't age well in a few years lol. We could have had Zach AND Kuzma but instead took Swanigan ugh.

Bit early to be worrying about that. Unless you want to go the other way as well. Teams would be saying rather have Zach than Frank Ntilikina and Josh Jackson based on performance.

We messed up.

Whoop dee doo. We're not as incompetent as Phil Jackson's Knicks -- that's a low bar you're setting.

I'm enjoying this Laker swoon. Allowed so many straight line drives to Jared Dudley's old ass in the fourth quarter.

We're a half game behind them for HCA. This west, man

I not seeing that we messed up. You swap the Collins' boys and you are going to also swap their production. Except Zach will still play some D for the lowly Hawks.

Is it a coincidence that Nets have beat Hawks, Wizards and Lakers since Allen Crabbe went down with a knee injury?

I guess it should be noted that they beat the Raptors, 76 ers and Knicks right before that while they had Crabbe.
