How? Lmao. This is worse than our Utah loss.
LeBron gets hurt, Warriors get within two and then fall behind by 31. At home. With the world watching. They’re supposed to be the champs. That is worse than our loss to healthy Utah team. How? Lmao.
So what? They don't give a fuck about the regular season because theyre so supremely talented. Regular season losses dont mean anything to champs.LeBron gets hurt, Warriors get within two and then fall behind by 31. At home. With the world watching. They’re supposed to be the champs. How the hell do you know whether I have or have not experienced rasism? You don't know a damn thing about me or where I come from.... I guarantee you that I have.
Unfortunately, racism does still exist in this country...sometime unbelievable acts.
None of that changes the fact that his comments were not racist.
It's his common narrative to try to justify anything he claims as racist. Whenever it's at least somewhat questionable, he sees it as racist. That's fair, but then if someone disagrees about the intent of a comment, he pulls this, as if you have to have experienced direct racism to have an opinion on the intent of someone words... @dviss1, I love ya, but man....
Ever heard the proverb, "To the man with a hammer, all the world is a nail"?Look bones, can I deny you housing for being white? A job? would you ever get told to take your family pictures down so you don't lose monetary value in your home during its appraisal?White people don't really experience racism. Plain and simple. They watch idly by as it happens to us.
I really think Barnes was standing up for our system with AAU as compared to the Euro model. If I was him I would too. And I also believe Barnes would agree that no system is perfect.I'm not sure if Barnes missed the point or was trying to change the subject.

I think it's fair to say that white people really don't experience racism, and often don't see racism when it exists. However, I think it's also fair to posit that those who have experienced racism may also have a tendency to infer it in situations where it isn't. Confirmation bias works both ways.
It's not an analogy. The proverb is actually about seeing the tool at your disposal as the solution for every problem. Which still doesn't apply, obviously. But the broader concept is the idea of applying that with which one is familiar to everything one sees. Strongly religious people see religious context in everything. The academically-focused view most things through an education lens. For those for whom commerce reigns supreme, every issue is a financial one. And my point is that you are much more likely to see racism in things than I or others in this forum are; and since we are all fallible, it's possible that occasionally you see racism when it isn't actually there.I disagree completely. And that's a terrible analogy.
Hammers need nails or else their existence is futile.
I don't need racism EVER but definitely know what it looks like.
Doesnt mean Cubans comments were racist or had racist intent.Look bones, can I deny you housing for being white? A job? would you ever get told to take your family pictures down so you don't lose monetary value in your home during its appraisal? White people don't really experience racism. Plain and simple. What an absolutely ridiculous post.Look bones, can I deny you housing for being white? A job? would you ever get told to take your family pictures down so you don't lose monetary value in your home during its appraisal? DL Hughley had his house appraised for 100K less for being black. That's REAL LIFE money...

What an absolutely ridiculous post.
What an absolutely ridiculous post.
Person 1: Cookies!Stop using the racists definition for racism.
Or that nobody's arguing that theres mor racism out there and that scenario doesnt apply to Mark Cuban making statements about the AAU system compared to Euro-system.You're saying that didn't happen to DL or are you proving my point by not giving a fuck about it!
I'm going to simply stand by my opinion that what you said was absolutely ridiculous. But to get an understanding we could go back to your original statement. You're saying that didn't happen to DL or are you proving my point by not giving a fuck about it!
It's always funny to me when the people who never experience racism are the first to classify what it is...

Dviss: What Person 1 said was racist and since youre white you cant say not!

It's always funny to me when people who might experience racism are the first to classify who does and who doesn't experience racism. Then they also want to try to tell others what is and isn't racism.
You have the right to keep thinking that. But you simply do not understand how stupid this would make you look if you had a clue who i was.People who say the above statements have never experienced racism.
I have to admit this debate puzzles me. Would being critical of the NBA or NCAA make somebody racist? Cuban has done both. What is it about the AAU that inspires such an emotional response from people on both sides of the debate?
