This is not bad. We continue to lose and get a lotto pick to trade. Then we look at making a deal in the offseason for a star. So that Chicago gets our 2027 pick. Obviously the risk there is Giannis on 1 year. I personally, want us to go after Bam Adebayo. I think he fits our team well.
Yeah the Heat and Blazers front office have a good working relationship....

Any chance Miami decides to blow it up they are stuck being mediocre. Go all in on Bam offer 3 Bucks picks and one of our young guys. I’m sure they’d want more

What are the financial and other cap implications if we waived Rupert and Thybulle to sign Love and Cissoko?
at this point, none really. Thybulle and Rupert would almost certainly be leaving town in the off-season, so no loss there. They'd just be dead salary for the rest of the season

that still leaves the Blazers about 1.3M below the tax line, and with more than 60% of the season gone, converting Love and Cissoko to standard pro-rated rookie minimum deals would still leave Portland under the tax line....barely

some team might take back Rupert's salary if Portland adds a 2nd round pick, but the Blazers would not need to

Thank you; that's what I wanted to know.

I’ll m honestly ok with no trade. I’d be extremely upset if we traded Scoot without knowing for sure how good he is or isn’t. Hate to say it let the cake bake and if we miss playoffs it’s the year to do it

Lots of moves made around the league but Joe knows best (?).
I think new ownership should strongly consider replacing all management. Deni has been a plus but ,when you factor in other problems on the roster, it is two steps forward and two back: no net change in the team's performance. Jrue, Jerami, Yang, Rupert, Murray, RWIII, Scoot, and Thybulle are all very hard to move, either because of talent, money, or health.

Zubac to the pacers. That is a huge move for indy. Wouldnt have minded him Joe, just putting that out there.

Full details about the Zubac trade

[Charania] The Pacers are sending Bennedict Mathurin, Isaiah Jackson, two first-round picks and one second-round pick to the Clippers for Zubac and Kobe Brown, sources tell ESPN.
