Its clear no one wanted the guys we were willing to deal/ wanted to move to make space (Grant, Williams, Murray, Rupert, Thybulle).

Disappointing.

Now we will have to waive Rupert (maybe bring him back as a two way, convert Sidy, and either send Love to Gleague for the remainder of the season or use the injury exception to convert him.

That or we are just planning to send Sidy and Love to G league the remainder of the season and shrugging it off.

Vit was a good get. I give Cronin credit for that, but he put himself in a hard place with some of these contracts that aren't panning out.

Dame certainly can't be happy.

the way i look at it, joe thinks summer gives us better options. playing in the playoffs enhances player's value. im not disappointed by the quiet deadline. it guarantees a very active summer

I don't know what is or isn't clear right now. What you're saying is the most plausible explanation but you have to give some credence to the idea that Dundon is finished with this front office and wants whoever his new front office is to make any moves going forward.

It's just a weird time for our frnachise. I would have thought we were either going to aquire some win now players to make a run with Dame or move most of the vets to build around Deni with young guys.

Oh well.

Joe might not be here come summer

Cam Thomas got waived.

Like we have a spot to sign him.

We could waive Rupert or buy out both Rupert and Murray and sign Thomas and convert Sidy.

Cam would have to want to come here too. Why come here when he could go to a contender?

We won't have as many mid contracts to attach to deals. Basically Murray and scoot.

The others are bigger dollar salaries.

i thought they do it after every deadline to update the fans of the state of the team, much like after draft night.

It will be interesting to hear his reasoning if we do have one.

Well maybe a bright side to this is our guys might play better now, without the worry of being traded in their minds.

I think we were probably trying to eject Grant with Murray or Rupert attached and it was a no go.

AGAIN. Goes back to the question: What is this team trying to do this year? Since we know they aren’t trying to make the playoffs are they going to start sitting guys and get tankalicious or are they going to do what they do best which is kinda be shitty kinda be playoff kinda not care or what? Pick a lane Cronin.

Who says we aren’t trying to make the playoffs? That’s been the goal all year.

Zubac to the pacers. That is a huge move for indy. Wouldnt have minded him Joe, just putting that out there.
So any time ANY player is traded it’s assumed WE had a shot at him?
