Yeah but the picks were not bad, The drafts were. The consensus pick at 2 or 3 that year was Okafor or Russell. And the Noel lottery was terrible. Sure you can always find better players from Europe that are not scouted properly like Porzingis or the Greek Freak, but to me the process has some flaws. and the biggest is not all drafts are strong.
Agree. The other option is mediocrity with no light at the end of the tunnel. The tomes this fan base has been mist excited was when? Blazermania? Adelmans teams in the 90s? Whitsitts teams in 2000s? Honk once or twice? Getting Aldridge and Roy? Getting Dame?

Then there are years like this. Who fucking cares?

Be great or be shitty. Don't be Portland

I think Dario Saric may beat out his teammate for Rookie of the Year. Putting up big stats and voters usually have recently bias.

I think Embiid should still get it but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't. Out of sight, out of mind.

Cavs set a new NBA record with 25 made 3-pointers in a game tonight. They had SIX players with at least 3 made 3-pointers - and that's without Kevin Love. Looks like BronBron got the help he was crying for.

In other news, Nerlens Noel made Marc Gasol his bitch tonight. DAL beats MEM and Noel outplayed Gasol at both ends of the court and everywhere in between.

Noel with:
15 PTS (6-10 FG), 17 REB, 2 AST, 0 TOV, 1 STL and 2 BLK

Gasol with:
13 PTS (6-18 FG), 6 REB, 4 AST, 4 TOV, 0 STL and 0 BLK

Man, I wish we could have gotten that guy for two 2nd round picks.

Everyone grilling Olshey about signing Turner Crabbe and Meyers to their contracts, when they should be grilling him about wanting to sign Chandler Parsons...

Embid is the clear ROY it's just tough to get it after only 31 games in a season

Nurkic isnt bad too

Nurkic isnt bad too

You can never have too many good bigs. Noel could back up Nurk at center for about 16 - 18 minutes a game, and play next to him another 12 - 14. Plus, if one big goes down, you have another who can step up.

New Orleans with another loss. If they keep losing and get a top 8 pick that trade will suddenly not look that dreadful for Kings (another benefit is that Kings will keep their pick this season and it could likely be top 5 if Philadelphia's pick also lands in top 5). However, if Pelicans all of a sudden move into top 3 of draft this will look even worse for Kings as that means the pick will only materialize in 2018.

Great trade for Sac already. Cousins won them nothing, and Hield doesn't look horible. Sometimes you have to hit reset. With his agent basically calling every team threatening them not to trade for him, they did great

Why? Noel is a free agent this summer that will get close to max THEN Nurkic if he continues to play like he is will get max next summer

There's no way we could afford both players

Learn the cap then post
Bird rights?

Easily should have had both
Agreed.

Yep. And Pelicans aren't instant playoff team because they have Cousins. Fuck, Kenny Smith thought they were best team in West because of trade. Um no.

Good win by the Bucks over "The North". Spencer Hawes had a great game, in only his second game for his new team: 16 pts @ 85.7% (66.7% 3P%), 8 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk in only 17 minutes.

Pelicans finally get first win since trading for Boggie. Against the Lakers though so...

Amazing choke job by Celtics last night. Magic and Kings blew heavy leads too and Hawks conceded a foolish buzzer beater too. A choke night in NBA.

Man, Plums is really struggling in DEN. He's such a talented player and Mike Malone can't integrate him into DEN's attack.

Sad to see. This is $ straight out of his pocket.

Maybe we can afford him after all... It's like a study abroad program, which I suppose is fitting with all the international dudes Denver has been drafting.
