Looked to me like he started his dribble before picking up his pivot foot, and that he jumped up off both feet simultaneously on the pass. Where's the travel?

You can't lift your pivot foot to dribble. On his rip through he lifts it and dribbles at the same time. It's the same move Al Jefferson does. It's never called travel in the NBA tho.
 
Lakers really are falling on rough times. Jack Nicholson was asked to show his ticket by an usher at last nights game. Fortunately, no golf clubs were pulled out during this incident.

Got it. So to clarify--after pivoting, how far into the initial dribbling motion should the player be before lifting the pivot foot in order for it to not be a travel?

Left hand off and right hand above the ball is not far enough? Does the ball need to completely no longer in contact with the hand?

This. The dribble needs to happen deliberately and well before the step. They can't happen simultaneously.
 
So let me guess...... raise your hand if you think the game against the Cavs should be an "easy win"?

Every team is full of NBA players. In all reality, there's no such thing as an "easy win". But yes, the Blazers are definitely the superior team at the moment. At home, with 2 days rest, with the Cavs on the 5th game of a 6 game road trip, Portland absolutely should win the game, and it will be a significant upset and disappointment if they do not.

While I generally agree, every time you play against one of the 3 top players of all time when he is not broken down - that game is not easy. If LeBron goes off for whatever reason...

Warriors had four all-stars, but struggle with Curry out. Durant is doing all he can. My conclusion: Curry and Durant are the only true all-stars on the team. The other two are good players made better by playing with a great one.

A team with three TRUE all stars should not struggle.

Well they also have no bench with West and Iggy put.

Well in their defense they played 3 games in 4 nights against the Spurs, Blazers, and Wolves. The last two were on the road. They are also missing 4 other rotation players (Bell, Iggy, McCaw, and West) other than Curry so I think they deserve a little bit of slack. Klay also sprained his thumb in their last game.

They've gone from a team with three stars to one star. They have George Hill and Nance instead of Kyrie and Love. Let's see how they play with Love back.
