Aldridge has been unstoppable lately. Averaging 36/9 over his last five games on 60% shooting from the field. Even destroyed Gobert in one of those games for 45 in OT. Really thought he was done after last playoffs

Cheer for him. LMA's revival has sucked the life out of the Spurs franchise. I didn't think that was possible. We paid Roy after he joined the enemy. Maybe we should be doing the same for LMA.

Hate to do this with so much still up in air. Don't wanna pull a Jinxspeed

Order of teams I'd rather play from best matchup to worst:

1. MIN- no playoff experience and Butler returning from injury
2. OKC- Paul George is the only guy that scares me on that team. They can stick him on Dame to slow him down, but Brewer/Russ don't have a shot at stopping CJ. Their defense is in the tank w/o Roberson.
3. NO- Holiday can be bottled up but AD would go off.
4. SAS- just don't wanna mess with them. Too much pedigree and too much Aldridge.
5. UTAH- I legit think we'd lose. Gobert is a freaking monster and Snyder is a genius.

Denver and LA climb to top of this list if they can make it in.

The good thing about New Orleans is that it takes more than one man to win a game for a team. As long as we outperform the other starting four I think we'll be okay.

Aldridge named Western Conference Player of the Week.

I hate to admit it, but he actually deserved it. That 45 point game against UTA pretty much sealed the deal. That was damn impressive given he was going against Gobert and Favors all night and the only two other bigs SAS had in uniform were Gasol, who played less than 12 minutes and Bertans who played less than 8. It was basically Aldridge battling Gobert and Favors all night - and he got the better of both.

"Aldridge averaged 34.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.00 blocks in 34.8 minutes for the week, while shooting .596 (56-94) from the field and .867 (26-30) from the foul line. He led the team in scoring in all four games and helped the Spurs go 3-1 for the week. Aldridge started off the week by scoring 33 points (13-22 FG, 7-7 FT) to go along with 12 rebounds and 2 blocks in 35 minutes in an 89-75 victory against Golden State on March 19. It was his sixth game of the season with 30-plus points and 10-plus rebounds, the most in a single season by a Spur since Tim Duncan's six in 2004-05. Two nights later he finished with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks in 31 minutes in a 98-90 win vs. Washington on March 21. On Friday, Aldridge posted a career-high 45 points (19-28, 1-1 3FG, 6-8 FT), including 28 in the first half, to lift San Antonio over Utah 124-120 in overtime, becoming just the fifth Spur in the last 20 years to eclipse the 40-point mark. He added 9 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists in 41 minutes of work. To finish out the week, Aldridge recorded his 16th game of the season with 30-or-more points, tallying 34 (12-21 FG, 10-12 FT), 7 rebounds and 2 assists in 32 minutes in a 103-106 loss at Milwaukee. It was until we lost to Houston and Boston.
So it was if we won out? You're the one who was okay with a loss to the Lakers because "we were gonna lose at somepoint"....

I'm looking for the emoji for throwing up but I can't seem to find it.

Of course it was. GS was catchable because their current team would struggle in G League. Yes I said that about Lakers game. As a fan, I always say I'm fine with a loss after 4 straight wins. So yes I was fine with a loss and yes, 2 seed was in play.

Mathematically, the 2 seed may have been in play. Realistically, it wasn't - ever.

Mathematically, at the start of the season we could have gone 82-0. Realistically, it wasn't going to happen.

It wasn't, because even if we won out, it still wouldn't be enough to catch GSW.

I love how your still trying to claim it was in play when we'll be mathematically eliminated from getting the 2 seed before April.

If we win out and GSW loses out, we own the tie breaker. :dunno:

Will Barton with 20 points with 5min left in the 2nd quarter.

I like the idea of Evan Turner and a future 1st in a cap dump (to Chicago or New York?). Then combining our 1st and various 2nds to trade up for Hutchison. Then we might have our full MLE due to dumping Turner, and we could bring back Barton to replace Turner. Then resign everyone. That'd be fun!

Denver surely needs a new coach and a leader. Millsap the 90M Guy is not the answer

Realistically, he will find a reason and way to argue with you on these opinions.

Grizz played hard, Blazers should be focus because they are not going to just lay down and quit.

I was expecting a pretty uneventful night in the NBA, and low and behold both DEN and MIN end up losing.

The DEN loss wasn't unexpected, but they are now 6 games behind us in the loss column and are basically no longer even interesting.

MIN really shot themselves in the foot. They are now 4 games behind us in the loss column and are starting to look more and more like a 7th or 8th seed, which means a first round match up with GSW or HOU.
