Very unhappy 76ers Fan. Not surprisingly, Jared McCain ended up with the Thunder.
Off the bench with the Thunder, he leads the team in 3-point % at 44%.

This is a great 8-minute video for those of you who get frustrated with a coach who might be mis-using a player. Especially when said player gets traded.

everyone involved in the Jared McCain trade should be in PRISON.. (especially Nick Nurse)

He ends the video with: "Daryl Morey, you traded a player with Star Potential, because Nick Nurse is a fucking psychopath."

In February 2026, Daryl Morey stated he was "quite confident" that the team was "selling high" on guard Jared McCain when they traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This comment was met with surprise by McCain and significant fan backlash, which intensified as McCain began to thrive with the Thunder. The Philadelphia 76ers traded guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder in February 2026 for a 2026 first-round pick (via Houston) and three future second-round picks. The move, which involved no player return, was largely viewed as a salary cap-clearing "salary dump" to avoid the luxury tax.

Selling High : At the time of his trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder in February 2026, Jared McCain was averaging 6.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 16.8 minutes per game for the Philadelphia 76ers. He was shooting 38.5% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range during his limited time in the 2025-26 season.
With the Thunder, he's averaging 12 points a game, 2.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 18.8 mpg, shooting 47.5 from the field and 44.4% on three-pointers.

I count at least 5
Nah. His foot was on the ground before he had possession of the ball. He takes one, two, three, and four, then pivots and the ball hits the ground before the 5th.

Steps are counted when you put your foot down, not when you pick it up.

Too many best this-or-that's anymore are from the 80's onward. Occasionally 70's players slip in and rarely 60's players (other than Wilt and/or Russell).

Prime Elgin Baylor anyone? Jerry West? Oscar Robertson and so many other great players from the 60's/early 70's that are often overlooked or forgotten (except by old farts like me).

So........what exactly is a "pure scorer"? Serious question. Geoff Petrie was a "pure scorer" by my definition. So is Dame. Bleacher Report isn't exactly written by geniuses (seems to run more on unbridled...and untethered....enthusiasm more than anything else). All I see on that list (aside from Jordan, Kobe and Gervin) are some (but not all) the best scorers of this current generation, NOT in NBA history (by any stretch of the imagination). Somedays it feels like the younger generations don't realize that the NBA existed prior to the 21st Century......

That Moses Moody knee injury was like the Greg Oden I saw against the Rockets
