I approve of this, because now when the Kings suck I won't have to feel sorry for them.
You take it correctly.I take it you dislike Mark Jackson?

So it's pretty much so you don't have to listen to him. Okay. Now that makes sense. For me, it is all about him getting him a coaching gig so I don't have to listen to him on TV. Not saying he is not smart at his job, just that he is so boring. He also goes overboard in defending the refs.

Was messin with him.The players defended him, but the only actual evidence we've got is he wasn't a very good coach, based simply on how much better the team became as soon as Jackson was gone. Some of that surely was situational, with player growth and personnel tweaks, but there's nothing favorable in Jackson's corner.
Or you can argue Jackson got them from bad to decent. Totally agree here.Or you can argue Jackson got them from bad to decent. They sucked before Jackson was hired.
Totally agree here.
I will NEVER understand the Mark Jackson hate.
He was a great player, one of the top assist men of all time.
Like you say, HE was the one who brought the "Splash Bros." culture to Oakland and completely changed the atmosphere of that franchise, as a rookie coach.
As an analyst, there is a reason he is on ABC/ESPN #1 team, simply put, he is really good at it, has some of the most unique observations this side of Hubie Brown, and frankly, I love his "Momma there goes that man" if for no other reason than it is a "catch-phrase", a long lost broadcasting art that few today even attempt.
He relates to all the players and they respect him. He is also an ordained minister, and a really nice guy.
The Mark Jackson "hate" makes zero sense to me.
FWIW, I am not really a big Hubie fan, I just respect his knowledge.I do agree that he is similar to Hubie Brown, who was also very knowledgeable, and who I also hated listening to. I realize that is a very subjective topic. Obviously some like listening to both, I am just not a fan of either. Either way, I do not hate either of them, they both seem like nice guys.
It's because he's not actually a "really nice guy". He's a manipulative back-stabber, by several accounts. The God-bothering is just the cherry on the shit sundae.Totally agree here.

Fair enough. Color me more educated. It's because he's not actually a "really nice guy". He's a manipulative back-stabber, by several accounts. The God-bothering is just the cherry on the shit sundae.
Bigger trade rumors are that the Lakers are thinking about trading Anthony Davis.
This summer might get interesting after all.
This summer is setting up to be a rather big shakeup in the league.if the Lakers are smart, the very first thing they should do is fire the guy that traded for Westbrook

For years, it’s what Larry Brown was known for. Take a bad team, make them good, and then leave. Of course,he finally won in Detroit. So, he's the guy for the job if you're hoping to compete and want the next coach to look good?
I don't think many people would buy your counter-argument, anyway, since any success Jackson had coincided with Curry.
